Oh, I needed this today, rintense! Thank you!!
Graduation ceremony today, special church service this morning, and the let down after all the craziness of the week, including the stark realization that we only have 2 more days with our son before basic training.
All the emotions that have been building came crashing down on me today, and seeing the smiling face of our President, and his lovely First Lady gives a much needed lift!
btw, the party went swimmingly.......and homeschool, you called the weather perfectly for the whole weekend.......high puffy clouds, reasonably warm temperatures, and lots of sunshine!

I read it on another thread, the inforamtion comes from India news agency, said Bush is likely to visit these two countries in late June. Haven't seen any confirmation from US sources though, don't know how creditable is this India source.

Hi All! We've been packing and packing and packing. The garage is nearly full of our things to take to the new house. We sign the escrow papers tomorrow, the loan "funds" and we should have the keys by Tuesday afternoon. I CAN'T WAIT! My friend is coming in from Georgia (he's in his last year of residency there in Augusta)- he'll be a kidney doctor, soon. He's going to help us. He's like a brother to me. We also have my real brother, hubby's brother, and hubby and I to do the loading of the truck. The truck is on loan from one of our clients in San Clemente! 16 ft with a lift!!! How's about that for being "taken care of?" I tell yah, the good Lord is wonderful!!! (*the move is why I haven't been posting too much*)
Gosh, Schlakaljager, I HOPE Bush isn't going there. I was just telling hubby that, today.
rintense - thanks for working on the weekends!
7beuties - WELCOME!

"Out there".....but it gets kinda dangerous sometimes...so this is your new official reprieve.
To: Miss Marple
I always watch for it, because I think it is a charming habit.I watch for it too, Miss Marple!
It is so affirming, and such a wonderful, but simple way to make others feel good.
And you're right.......it's charming!

Here's the take on Pres. Bush's role in the India/Pakistan dispute by one Indian magazine:
Advertisements for an Indian magazine depicts President Bush as the peacemaker at a newsstand in New Delhi, India, Saturday, June 8, 2002. Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage already held talks with the Indian and Pakistani leaders and U.S. Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld is scheduled to visit next week to dissuade the two countries from going to war to settle their disputes over Kashmir. I'm hangin' NordP, I'm hangin!
Tuesday my son and I are going to visit my Dad, who is ill and might not be around by the time Eric gets back from Advance Training.
It's called being in the 'sandwich generation'....... caught between caring for parents and caring for children........and sometimes you feel a lot like a slice of bologna!
