San Diego is the most beautiful city you could ever live in. When daughter and son-in-law were stationed at Camp Pendleton, we used to go down there all the time. The climate is perfect, and the scenery is gorgeous. Only problem is the (gulp!) cost of real estate.

Tell me about it! This house is going to be "fun" to afford, but...thank goodness we believe in rolling up our sleeves and doin' some good 'ol fashion, WORK. We're boxing everything up today through this weekend, and will probably sign papers tomorrow. SO EXCITING!!! God Bless America...is this a great country or what?

Most of our relatives are in Oceanside and further inland. San Diego *is* beautiful. Love it. Talked to my hubby this evening about the possibilities of relocating through his work. Always a possibility. But you're right about the real estate prices. While our home price in the Sac area has zoomed upwards I'm sure it's not enough to buy a decent little cottage in the surrounding area. Never know though.
