"Kill the Death Tax! Time is of the Essence!
Make the Death Tax Reforms of 2001 Permanent!"
ACU Members, Supporters, Friends, and Activists:
As part of ACUs ongoing effort to make all of President Bushs tax cuts permanent, were calling on our ACU Activist to specifically encourage Members of Congress to make the Death Tax Reforms of 2001 PERMANENT. H.R. 2143: The Permanent Death Tax Repeal Act sponsored by Congressman Dave Weldon (R-FL) will be brought to the House floor this Thursday.
As part of President Bushs 2001 tax cut package, the Death Tax will be phased outover the course of the next nine years. However, as it stands, because of Democrat Senate Leader Daschle's use of a parliamentary procedure in the Senate, once that nine-year window expires, our nation returns to the old pre-Bush Death Tax penalties.
The Death Tax is a multiple tax. The money is taxed when its earned, saved, or invested, and then again upon death. It penalizes hard-working Americans for doing things like saving money and investing in capital. The Death Tax is unfair.
Congressional supporters of the Death Tax forget that the tax prevents some family owned business from being passed on to the next generation because of their inability to pay the death tax and keep the business viable. In fact, its the leading cause of dissolution for small businesses and 70% of businesses in general never make it past the first generation.
Write your Representative in the U.S. House and ask them to support making the Death Tax Reforms of 2001 permanent. Tell your House member that its time to eliminate this unfair part of the tax code. This will be addressed by the U.S. Congress this Thursday, so time is of the essence. Enter your Zip Code above and click "GO"!

What we citizens really ought to do is demand that the entire progressive income tax be scrapped and the IRS abolished!
What would replace the horrible system now in place? I am glad you asked that question.
The United States should replace the failed progressive income tax with a fair, flat, simple and easy to collect National Retail Sales Tax, of course!
I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man. [Thomas Jefferson, letter to Benjamin Rush, 1800.]
Scrap the Code! Scrap the IRS! Abolish the VLWC!
We will never be a truly FRee people so long as we have the income tax and the IRS.

Yes, but a baby step in the Right Direction!! We've had far too few of those lately, IMHO.

Yep...
"We could make inroads into the NEXT generation of black voters with this!"
Yep...combine it with the School Voucher Issue to repair inner city schools and we could make some major inroads come next November and November '04!!

I want the political equivalent of Schwarzkopf's "Hail Mary" instead. I want something that works and gives us a DECISIVE win.
Unfortunately, lately it seems like we're punting too often on first and second down, and the "charges" the Right's been making are more akin to something we'd expect outta Neville Chamberlin. I'm confident Conservatism can win over Collectivism each and every time it is attempted...we need to challenge the Left on the Battlefield of Ideas and the Sheeple will come to understand that which we are already sure.

Make the suckers explain WHY we should keep a tax.
Same way the Liberal-Socialists made us explain why we'd, "want to starve kids & seniors" by paring-down the monstrous, federal leviathan
...this stuff can be an awful lot of fun; IF, the hand's played properly.
Recharging my batteries and paying some bills...priming myself for a busy mid-term election season.
Good to see you, too, my FRiend...MUD
