He should have hired competent people.

Well considering the report was mostly drafted under the Clinton administration I don't Bush had any input into the hiring process.

Ditto's Concerned About Politics! It's about time somebody said this.

I have been lurking since 1999 and the issue of Rush bashing Bush is not true. Bush could not have a bigger supporter than Rush. How soon they forget the battles of the primaries and the election of W as POTUS. The cry of Bush Bashing by the Bush Bots whenever anyone tries to point out the some of the problems with President Bush's domestic polices is getting out of hand. They have started sounding no different from the ClintonDrones every time Slick came under fire.

The last time I checked we (Conservative Republicans) were the party were policy was debated on intelligent discussion of principles and not knee-jerk emotionalism like the left.

I voted for President Bush and gladly support him in our fight against terrorism. He is doing a great job on that front. I reject all this garbage about W knowing what was going to happen and did nothing about it.

I hear a lot about we are not looking down the road far enough by bringing up conservative ideas at this time. But in the long run coming in November what are Republicans who are running for the Senate and Congress going to say when they are accused of right-wing extremism by the left when the left defends the same polices that W favored to take away votes from Democrats? This is the problem I'm looking at. President Bush is the Party spokesman so it is going to be hard to run to the right of him and not disagree with his polices. People forget that in 94 we won the majority by putting forth consevative principles using the Contract with America in nationalizing issues.

I for one am proud that we have people willing to stick their necks out to defend our freedoms, true principles and the AMERICAN way of life. If you have any decency you should feel a tinge of humility by now. Ok, you can go back to bashing patriots again.

well said!

I do not believe in global warming. From what I've read, there are three sets of temperature data: ground temperatures, lower atmospheric data and upper atmospheric data. The first two show warming - but the last does not. The only findings that would be consistent with global warming produced by greenhouse gases (as I understand it) would be an increase in temperature in all three sets of data.

Since the upper atmospheric data has not evidenced temperature increases, I believe the most likely explanation is warming of the ground/lower atmosphere due to an increase in man-made heat traps (or is sinks the right word?). I'm talking about buildings, roads, parking lots etc. absorbing heat and releasing it back into the atmosphere.

Bump to that, and check out my post at #769 for more reasons why manmade global warming is bunk.

Anyone else agree with me? You should. I'm right, and so was Rush. This was a flip-flop, and it's a good thing Bush is dismissing it.

Yes, I agree with you, and so would anyone who looked objectively at the facts. Thanks for clarifying the sequence of events.

It not only was a flip-flop, but guess what else? It was a "bureaucratic snafu"! Translation: THE BUCK STOPS NOWHERE! Is this administration going to copy the Clinton Administration's pattern of excuse-making when incompetence or flip-flopping is exposed?

....well maybe, just maybe "W" didn't like being called George W. AlGore!

If someone called me a AlGore, I'd do a 180 myself!

If things don't change soon in India and Pakistan, The're expecting tempertures of 2,800 degrees with winds of 650 MPH. How's that for global warming?

This is a dead issue, let us Bushbots go about electing republicans and the Bush Bashers can back to complaining about "IF" Dubya grants amnesty to illegals and doing your best to chip away at the 90% support Dubya has among Republicans

"I have been lurking since 1999"

Yawn, pardon me if I'm skeptical about someone's opinion, who reads this forum for three years, before they decide to comment.......

I mean seriously, since 1999 we've been through a national election, in which your candidate had a virtual coup d'etat against him. A circus of lawsuits in Florida, in an attempt to usurp a legitimate US election. We've been attacked on our own soil, by islamic fundamentalists who hi-jacked civilian airliners and used them as bombs, we've gone to war......In all of that three years, the first issue that compelled you to post was a hyped-up story from the NYT that Rush used to get ratings? Color me skeptical!

Thank you for directing me to post 51. It says it all. I have posted (numerous times on different threads) that President Bush MUST remove the Klintoonites in all Departments and replace them with Americans or he will always be fighting leaks and out-ando-out lies from within his administration.

So Rush got Bush to change his mind. Is that the story here?

No. The official story is that Bush knew nothing until he heard it in the press.

"Remember that so-called "reality" you mentioned on the other thread?"

"BUSH DISMISSES ADMINISTRATION REPORT ON 'WARMING'"

Ok, lets talk reality. The Administration is Bush's own Administration. ROFLMAO.
