I am concerned about this "lack of responsibility or control" philosophy going on worldwide. However, I do tend to agree that in the US, given the looser democracy, it is very possible that a President have a harder time controling things. Still, I think bush should hire some real people instead of lawyers. eg. a former FBI NYPD chief instead of freaking lawyers at the FBI would be much better.

The thing about this WHOLE story, including Rush's going on and on about it, is that NOBODY outside we news fiends every HEARD of it.
My mother listen to ALL the news shows, but she does NOT have internet access; she didn't even know what I was talking about!

"It seems to be about the atmosphere", said Bush, airily.

Wait a dog gone minute, now...I kept reading on the other thread that the VRWC, in conjunction with the VLWC, were misrepresenting the report, and that it didn't at all mean what it said.
Why, then, would the President "dismiss" it?

Just heard him too. Loved his 'ho-hum' tone. How many damn times does he have to state his position before people actually believe him? Well, just like the Egyptian 'revelation', look for another recycled 'news' story to be 'revealed' byt the NYT. Yawn.

Win what? I didn't think it was a contest. I think this was just another case of some people, namely the conservative talk show hosts/reporters -- coming out of the gate a little too early.

To: Lazamataz
Hey Laz-
It isn't about winning. It's about jumping to conclusions without all the facts. It's happened before on FR. It will probably happen again.

All the jackasses (including Rush Limabaugh) who were harping about this the past couple of days owe the President a big apology.
