I am concerned about this "lack of responsibility or control" philosophy going on worldwide. However, I do tend to agree that in the US, given the looser democracy, it is very possible that a President have a harder time controling things. Still, I think bush should hire some real people instead of lawyers. eg. a former FBI NYPD chief instead of freaking lawyers at the FBI would be much better.

Wait a dog gone minute, now...I kept reading on the other thread that the VRWC, in conjunction with the VLWC, were misrepresenting the report, and that it didn't at all mean what it said.
Why, then, would the President "dismiss" it?

All the jackasses (including Rush Limabaugh) who were harping about this the past couple of days owe the President a big apology.

OK, this is the final straw! Bush is either the biggest fraud in history, or he's been replaced by a duplicate controlled by the Dems. He won't get my vote again.

Kyoto Paradox I:
Climate is an extremely complex, chaotic, coupled, non-linear, time-dependent system
with massive, external, naturally-occuring inputs and wide variability in measurables.
Therefore,
To say we can control it by tweaking a small set of factors is ridiculous on its face.
Kyoto Paradox II:
Climate is an extremely complex, chaotic, coupled, non-linear, time-dependent system
with massive, external, naturally-occuring inputs and wide variability in measurables.
Therefore,
You can no more successfully predict the outcome of doing something than you can of
not doing something. In other words, the impact of trying to "fix" a climate problem
is as unpredictable as the impact of ignoring it.

"'I read the report put out by the bureaucracy,'"Tell it like it is Mr. President.
And don't let up until the bureaucracy is dismantled.

We would do well to remember the first 2 of the 10 laws of politics/politicians.
1. Pay no attention to what they say, watch instead what they do.
2. In Washington, nothing is official until it has first been denied.
Got my doubts about Bush, but not ready to give up on him at this time. "Wouldn't be prudent."

I wonder whether he's distancing himself due to the conservative reaction, or whether the report slipped through the cracks on its way out? Either way, The Prez. did the right thing. Job well done, GWB.

But will Rush Carvile Limbaugh retract his remarks he made yesterday,
