The point that you are missing is that, as Bush stated, the report was nothing more than a creation of bureaucrats (probably all leftover from the Clinton administration). It really had nothing to do with the Bush administration.

He made this statement because Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and the base were outragedPure T baloney.
BTW, WE are his base; WE waited to hear what HE would say before we jumped off the cliff.

You should hold your breath. And keep holding it. Why were you one of those that backed Bush yesterday? If so, do you agree with him yesterday or today?
To: Ol' Sparky
If the EPA is a bureaucracy and contradicting his beliefs, then why doesn't he eliminate those that contradicts his true beliefs like Christie Todd Whitman? That hasn't been possible since Andrew Jackson. Civil service exams, career bureaucrats. Read my #22. He's got no choice.

"Your not into actual details, are you?"Why yes I am.
Man made global warming is a fraud.
Period, end of sentence.
To: Fred Mertz
Yes, Fred, if Rush hadn't made this an issue (which it is) then Bush would have probably not said a thing about it and the report would have, from the public and international point of view, had the apparent backing of this Administration.

LOL!!

There you all go again. Bush does the right thing and you all start criticizing. You all will never be staisfied and your hubris know no bounds.
Look this was a low level report that no one cared about for a week until the nyt, drudge, limbaugh, hannity, and all you Bush bashers decided to make a "big" story about it.
Bush is a human being and can't look at everything and somethings are going to fall through the cracks. I'd rather see him focusing on the terroist war, than automatically placating frothing mouths over a low level report.

Sounds like that "Dim bulb" suckered them into leaning into a left hook!
One of the ways of getting rid of rats is to lure them out in the open.

Barf alert!
Rush would have to accompany his apology with the removal of his ridiculous article and graphic to redeem himself with me.

Rush probably talked to Rowe. I doubt it. This whole thing smells like Karl Rove sending up a trial balloon, which was promptly shot down with a cruise missile.

Its now being reported that Bush is saying that he is not responsible for the report put out by his administration.
To: Eva
It really had nothing to do with the Bush administration
Rush just said that Bush is saying that he is basically not responsible and somebody misrepresented the President's views and should be held accountable!! GO RUSH GO!

Oh the horror of a report saying that Kyoto is dead and that no new policy was in the works.

I appreciate the clarification.
To: ReaganRevolution
But..but..but...isn't Rush the power behind the oval office? /sarcasm. ;)
To: for-q-clinton
There was nothing to agree with him about. It was the constant need to point out that Bush did NOT do a U-Turn that became the fight. It's the bashers that turned it into a feeding frenzy. If people had read the President's remarks from June 2001, and then read the report, they would have known that there was no change in policy. But it was SOOOO much easier to just believe the NYT, Drudge, and Rush than it was to read the facts and make a logical conclusion.

If that's the case, a wholesale house-cleaning must be done immediately.
