Just the headline
He's the President of the United States, and leader of the free world......... and Rush is just a soon to be has-been talking head.
You must be another "principled conservative".
I see people saying favorable things about Bush because he hands out the cash like a democrat, but I still see the democrats voting democrat. They'll still vote for who ever hands out the most freebies.
The 2000 election was close. It may be again because people vote seriously for those free tax payer handouts. If Bush keeps screwing his base over the way he is, he could very well be history.
Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
Well he's lost of listeners today if this thread is any indication.
Nonetheless, I guess you can tell by my posts, I am completely disgusted with the guy I voted for. He is adopting the Democrat agenda and growing the government at a pace that must make the Klintonistas envious. I'm watching it happening. I cannot be disuaded from my position! Even Rush is seeing it, albeit, much later than I did.
THAT'S NOT MY JOB. that's the job of our elected officials and PUBLIC SERVANTS. is it not? do you think that the fbi has met any of our needs?
A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject.
~Sir Winston Churchill
There is no place in a fanatic's head where reason can enter.
~Napoleon Bonaparte
Dan Quayle seemed to get it, why can't you?
You, however, are not his base, so just don't vote for him, OK? It won't make a bit of difference in his landslide reelection in 2004. :o)
I think it's a function of familiarity with other posters. Personally, I've been critical of the administration as of late. Because I'm presenting these views more often than supporting Bush (again, as of late), I get slammed as a Bush-basher. What I generally hear is, "When have you ever supported Bush?"That said, I'm no victim. I'll come back with, "When have you ever not supported the man? Is there no limit to what you'll take?" It makes me just as guilty as anyone else.
This isn't productive. Old arguments simply spill over into new threads - and both sides are guilty. I think my solution is simply to avoid posting on these topics. I'll make up my mind and keep my opinion to myself. Anything else, and my posts (along with others') become a lightning rod and clutter up the forum. It isn't worth it to me.
I honestly believe that. Neither side is to blame, but I think a lot of folks around here react to other posters rather than what was actually posted. I admit I'm one of them, and it isn't healthy for myself or the forum.
That's just the way I see it. Incidentally, I think that was one of two times I posted something along those lines. Certainly nowhere near 20.
Both Kennedy and Johnson tried to retire Hoover, after due
consideration of Hoover's opinion, they changed their minds.
OK, spit* My positon regarding this two party dog and pony show is fairly well known. I find very little difference between either of the two beltway, big government parties. Did I miss anything?
And as far as you not mentioning this massive, titanic immigration, "free for all" as one of your secondary issues here at home was more than revealing. Thanks for the ID.
Global warming? Fossil fuels to blame? Or evolution inspite of man? But then, how bout nuclear testing? Any effect there? How bout commercial and military planes? Thousands upon thousands of flights daily...so do they have any effect, and do they have to pass emission tests like the rest of us?
Oh yeah Joe, did I make "the list"?
Simple, just like Bubba-1,Bubba-2 stands squarely where he thinks he can get votes.
Evidently you have a major problem with freedom of expression when it concerns Bush. Dictatorships are built by people who think like you.
