I didn't post the quote you just attributed to me! Better go find the real author and talk to him/her about it! I didn't attribute that quote to you. What I did attribute to you is that you are taking the New York Times take on this low level report as the word of G-d.
It is up to you to defend the New York Times.

To: marajade
The courts will kill CFR... We do not know this for a certainty. It shouldn't have had to go that far and will cost (waste) millions of dollars.
Got to run - it's been enjoyable chatting with you. Talk with you again.

Oh really? And how do you know that?(What I(Dane) did attribute to you is that you are taking the New York Times take on this low level report as the word of G-d.) Deductive reasoning. You decided to bash Bush on a report by the New York Times. Case closed.
I am still waiting for your defense of the New York Times.

Whew, you Bush bashers disregard the source of this "story"(NYT) as last night's whore.
Why am I not surprised.

I can find about 50 other things to bash Bush on. I don't need the NYT to know that Bush is a LIAR and a big-government socialist -- who I voted for, by the way. My mistake. It won't happen again.
To: caddie
You can cram your "regards".
Every point you make is straight from the NYT and part of the current over-all campaign to further trash a valuable ally. Many in this forum also buy into it. But there are more radical anti-Americans teaching in US universities, and writing books in New York city and London, including Angela Davis, Norman Mailer and Susan Sontag, etc. than there are in Saudi Arabia.
Just a guess...bet you felt the same way about the Shah of Iran.
Your absurd comment about Bush being responsible for the next 9/11 shows your agenda and the rational placing of blame isn't it.

Drudge is not jumping the gun. He is rightly ripping Bush for the socialist one worlder that he is. In fact his most appropriate question to date has been: "What's left of the democrat agenda other than abortion that Bush can advance for them?"
Unfortunately, it's no longer "their" agenda he's advancing.
It's obviously become the Republican agenda also. I mean, just look at how many people here agree with him and sing praises to his name no matter how wrong headed or UnConstitutional his actions are..
Just like their idol worshiping, democrat counterparts in the Rose Garden.

"I think Bush is appeasing the liberals till the 2002 election; he can't do anything till the obstructionists in the Senate are elected out. Hopefully Republicans will get back the Senate in 2002 and then I foresee Bush pushing his conservative agenda full force."
You may be right, but that strategy TOTALLY SUCKS! We've already had a president who lied repeatedly to us and we don't need another. Everyone seems to think Bush is a man of conviction. Well, now is the true test. If he's lying to get votes, he'll never get another one of mine.
There's just so much caster oil true conservatives will swallow, and if Bush thinks he can get away with supporting the global warming idiocy, he is insulting his constituents and is saddly mistaken. If his position has truly changed on global warming and the press publicizes it, watch the poll numbers fall. Bush is playing with fire and he may as well be soaked in gasoline on this one...
He better clear things up and articulate exactly his position on the global warming ruse. Its cr*p like this that make me loathe certain politicians.

nyt has nothing to do with it, as lib=failure said. see eraser x's post #500.
btw, if i, rush, and the others are wrong on this, i will be the first to admit it to you, dane. i won't, however, make excuses for the advancement of the leftist agenda and the expansion of the federal government by the bush administration as you and a lot of others have.
To: Dane
Hey, I realized that Bush was a lying Leftist long before this info. hit the press. This wasn't even the last straw. That happened about 6 months ago. If you like liars and Leftists -- have at it!
To: Dane
This is the democrats plan to win in November using Enron and as many smears as the rats can get up and running against the right! From the Enron memo and plan of attack against Bush and the right! Yes everyone this is the rats plan, to get as many from the right to not vote or to vote 3rd party!
to depress turnout by rightist voters, by inducing apathy through disillusion.
must have some depressive and disillusioning effects on both components of the rightist coalition.

I'd thought you like to see this page of apoligista and clairvoyants. Not really, but I'll do it anyway. I pretty much said my piece on "Bushes Secret Plan" last week.
This must have been what the "Good Germans" of the Weimar Republic went through.
Say, this seems as good a place as any to key this in, since nobody but you and I will read it on a thread like this. My trench-digging co-worker ripped a page out of one of his books and brought it to me...thought I'd like it. I do. You meet the nicest sort of people in the trenches ;-)
"Reason and experiment have been indulged, and error has fled before them. It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself. Subject opinion to coercion: whom will you make your inquisitors? Fallible men, men governed by bad passions, by private as well as public reasons. And why subject it to coercion? To produce uniformity.
But is uniformity of opinion desirable? No more than face and stature. Introduce the bed of Procrustes then, and as there is danger that the large men may beat the small, make us all of a size, by lopping the former and stretching the latter...
Is uniformity attainable? Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned yet we have not advanced one inch toward uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the world."

I wept when George Bush was elected (and I'm a guy -- I don't do that often). But I love my country and I knew Gore would destroy it.
Bush's "star" is certainly tarnished in my eyes. It seems he is more concerned about those who DIDN'T vote for him (and probably never will) than all those fine people who were willing to crawl over broken glass to get him elected.
I think he is shooting himself in the foot. If his base deserts him, the libs sure as hell won't come to his aid.

nyt has nothing to do with it, Yeah right and the sky is green. You all whored around with the NYT and now feel dirty.
As you should.
