So, you are saying that pissing off conservatives is the best way to win back the Senate. Maybe you work for the RNC.

Okay, did anyone else hear the woman caller foaming at the mouth a minute ago? She was practically hysterical with rage. She absolutely equates anyone who criticizes the President's policies as "trashing" him. Caller: "I will never forgive them! I will never forget the 8 years of Clinton! "The whining is just getting ridiculous..." (Rush, quietly: "Yes, I agree.") "Nobody knows what is in Bush's head! Nobody knows what he will do tomorrow, or the next day! There is nothing George W. Bush could do that would make me criticize him, EVER!"
Rush just said the last caller was an example of how W has cornered the Soccer Mom crowd. NOTHING he does can make them turn against him.
(Personally, it sounded a little like "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" to me...scary...)

No. Whole lot of spinning going on.

Then again, when I see propagandists come in and spew, it tends to move me right back towards giving him the benefit of the doubt.

So let me get this straight: Bush is completely reversing his position and is now promoting the humans-are-causing-global-warming theory because there are "obstructionists" in the Senate? Huh? Why does the fact that he can't get bills through the Senate mandate that he reverse his position on global warming?
To: Sci Fi Guy
2. killed that stupid enviromental treaty. But from the looks of it is doing a switch on global warming which means he's going to enter some kind of enviromental treaty
3. withdrew from the anti-missle defense treaty
4. started working on missle defense
That's part of the same thing. Sorry only counts as one
7. Did cut taxes
Whoop de do!! And you basically had to claim it on this years taxes as income to be taxed. That's a tax cut?
8. Did nominate a lot of conservative judges.
That's a maybe but the only way to get these judges up to the floor is to elect a bunch of RINOs like Giddy Dolt, who will probably disagree with them, meaning Bush will have to go back and get more centrist judges
9. Did express support for Taiwan - really PO'd the Chicoms.
Wow, step back!! Expressed support, did he? Making a speech and some promises ten years down the line is a little weak compared to what X42 did to this nation for eight years.
10. Did/has a more pro-Israel policy than clinton did.
Exactly how has he done that? By not condemning the Israelis outright? No, as usual, just another POTUS forcing a peace treaty on the Israelis that does nothing more than hurt the Israelis
Compassionate conservatism doesn't work for me

Rush has been spouting out other's ideas and claiming them as his own for years. Those of us who have contributed ideas to his old "800" number, via e-mail and web page know this all too well. No credit given. People don't like that. Apparently the intellectual pipeline to Rush has been shut off and he is left with nothing but his own inane rants.

I am loving this, lol. I figured you would, just like the NYT is with it's inaccurate reporting.

(PS theres no such thing as a Palestinian just to further educate yourself. They are displaced Eygptians and Jordanians)
WHAT!!!?? Are you crazy? In the words of the famous "Palestinian philosopher" I quote, uh, I quote, uh, just a second... Darn! There aren't any famous "Palestinian philosophers"!
OK! Uh. Hey! How about something from Arafat. He is a famous "Palestinian"! Yea! Something from Arafat! No!? He's actually Egyptian? Oh....
Well then! Let me post a link of the old "Palestine" on the map!! A ha! I got you there! Gee, I looked. I can't find one.
Never mind:)

Don't forget that the administration has reversed a 60 year position of the government that the 2nd amendment doesn't apply to individuals.

Most of the people in the US believe global warming is real. Bush's stance isn't a radical one.

I'm workin'. Can't listen to Rush. But I will say this: Rush is about principles. Conservative principles. It seems to pi$$ him off when people who call themselves conservatives don't act on conservative beliefs. He's not burdened with the need to govern and campaign, and he knows it. The few times I've been able to listen in the last month, he's made it clear that he understands the "Karl Rove Strategy", but that he openly wonders about its efficacy and effects on the "base" that elected Bush. Not to mention actual policy.
I'm with Dales (who worked his a$$ off under a different screen name, IIRC, during Campaign 2000, keeping us all informed regarding polling data). This crap is starting to smell. And offend.
And some of us here need to take a good look in the mirror and ask if we aren't beginning to look like the right's version of Paul Begala or James Carville. I mean, damn, can this Prez do NO wrong in your eyes? Is there no bottom to your loyalty to a mere man?
I don't know about others here, but I helped elect Bush to advance a conservative agenda, not sit on a huge pile of political capital and good will (70%+ approval) and make "strategic concessions" to our mortal political enemies.

Sonet of President Bush,
""Drill, drill, drill, drill?
No, take a pill, pill, pill;
Oil everywhere, betrayal the good-where.
Good for me.""

Rush just said the last caller was an example of how W has cornered the Soccer Mom crowd. NOTHING he does can make them turn against him. Wow Bush has taken away the Soccer moms(an important voting bloc) from the demos. Oh the horror(for the demos).

I guess you didn't read the report either. If all your GOP is based on is faithful spewing of doctrine, then I'd say it's been over for you for a long time.

I know, that was scary. But you know something, it is on both sides. You get people like that caller, and then you get propagandists like captainpaintball above. Knee jerking in all directions, with conservatism taking the hits in the gut from it all.

ALT-F4 works wonders for when the popup is coming up but is not yet formed enough to have 'deactivation' code.
