Small gov't doesn't sell with the public, and those that
advocate it, LOSE. Ask Newt Gingrich!!

Newt was destroyed by personal attacks, not his political views.
Remember the book deal? However when Hillary took an
$8,000,000.00 advance on a book, that she didn't even write
no outrage from the left. After all she is one of their own.
Now I see the neo-cons here using the same tactic.

It should bother you to be such a racist/sexist so called conservative. I know several of these soccer moms who have come over to the right. They are bright and hard working mothers who want GW to as president so their children will have a chance to grow up. So in your eyes that makes them bad people.

Are you the typical reformed party person who hates minorities and women? Race and often sexual bias currents seem to run the strongest in the fans of the former flak for Ted Fonda.

I gladly welcome all of these new conservatives and very gladly cheer as the racists/sexists of America leave the party. Of course most of you haven't been in the party since maybe Reagan.

Yes, it frosted me, too, that Rush (and some dude on National Review online) gave credence to the report that the Pentagon "would not" go to war with Iraq.

What a load of Barbara Streisand to anyone who knows anything about how the Pentagon works. One general might have said something like, "We need to do x & y to get our act together" and that translate to the alleged "whining."

Give me a break.

If Clinton and Gore, whom some on this site now say would be a better alternative to Bush (gag), had not decimated the military, the ramp-up time would not be as long. Plus, has anyone ever heard of disinformation? You know, to help surprise your enemies?

Tell me, which fight has Bush picked so far? I do not see many things he has done so far that would classify him as a conservative. The only two things I can think of are the tax cut and his decision against cloning (a no brainer). Where is his fight for the lives of the unborn (i.e. standing up to the baby killers in Congress who refuse to vote on his judgeship nominations)? Picking the right fights is one thing, but I do not see Bush fighting at all!! He's a wimpy president so far. In trying to please EVERYONE, he is torking off his base! Limbaugh is only the beginning pal. I want a fighter in the White House - someone who isn't afraid to stand up for moral principles!!

bushbot dictionary:

defending your position=saying nothing at all

defeating your opponent=conceding to their terms

smaller govt=bigger govt

natl. security=pc policies (no profiling)

supporting free speech=cfr

bush is less statist than gore=statism is ok, the degree is what matters

bush is a good man=a bible in your hands is a shield for legitimate criticism.

patriotism=blind adherence to a man, not an idea (see dems and klinton, whom they love to bash for the very things they now defend)

waah.

Colorado Tanker, you have posted the most important, most informative post on this entire thread.

Fact 1: a bureaucratic report, not a policy document;

Fact 2: Sent forward to avoid appearance that American Petroleum Institute had influenced the administration's position.

Fact 3: This is politics, folks, and good politics. Rush, Drudge and Sean totally dorked up their reporting and analysis.

There are two goals for us:

#1. Do not let the third party haters take over and destroy Free Republic as they have other conservative web sites. They are very few and truly pathetic people who dislike anyone new in their so called conservative club.

#2. The big goal. We must de Rat the Senate this November. Make Da$$hole the true minority midget that he is. This is why the DUers and the PPE ers are so up tight. If the republicans De Rat the Senate, then some real changes will occur.

Why don't you and your Bush-banging buddies just suck it up and vote for somebody else? That's how it works. You don't like somebody? Vote 'em out. Got somebody in mind? Surprise me.

How about the argument I posed to you above regarding the
fact that the Bush Admin has fired 25% of the Clinton people at
the FBI?

Put up a list of their names or drop the issue. Facts, Facts, Facts

What about killing the ABM treaty? What about pulling us out of the ICC? What about the increases in defense spending? What about pulling out of Kyoto? What about some very good support for Israel? What about the strong support for Taiwan?

Sorry we didn't get our conservative utopia on January 21, 2001, but things do not work that way.

This was revealed in an interview with John Ashcroft on Fox News. Of course we don't have the names, as releasing the names for the press constitutes an infringement on that person's privacy and is probably actionable.

Why don't YOU give US a list of the names of all the Clinton people still in the government?

Facts, facts, facts.

I've followed this blatherous comment & that concerning the entire matter; and, frankly I think you're making a whole lot out of nothing, my friend.

The man has 4 years to show us what he's got; period.
MY next vote will be based on the sum of the (his) parts; &, not some instantaneous value.

I'm sure in the hell not about to blow a gasket over something this silly; &, since The New York Slimes fingerprints are everywhere?
My POV is stiffened even moreso; as, the sewege-slingers at that Rag are working 24 & 7 to smear our side via our guy.

I mean just lookit; assualt #(fill in the blank) has begun in earnest at Sludge.
Now we're supposed to believe the Mabarak cretin over our OWN leader, eh?
That right?

Go for it.
Swallow the whole magilla hook, line, & sinker if you so desire, Mud.
For my part?
I'll just bide my time & see what this man Bush is really up to.
I shall make my judgement based upon the results *I* can actually measure for myself.
Certainly not what some sleezy, slimey Liberal-Socialist 'Rat sycophant bloodsucker who's embedded at an even more dispicable Liberal-Socialist RAG like the Slimes tells me is going on, thank you.

...eh relax my friend, the fight's not here; it's, over there.

There goes another Rushbot who has not read anything that was in the NY Slimes Bravo Sierra report.

You probably wanted Mueller fired for what he did re 9/11, regardless of the reality that he was not appointed as FBI Director until 9/4/2001.

Rushbots and Rush want GW and the republican party to commit political suicide by saying no to the new people knocking at our doors.

Those new people are the soccer moms who trust GW to keep their children safer than the Rats. The Jewish Americans who understood what was happening in Israel, not the Rush Bravo Sierra Story, while Sharon was taking out the PA garbage and placing it on the curb. The Mexican American families here legally, who work hard, love their families, and have a core religious base. The new upswing of blacks backing GW since 9/11.

It appears that a shrinking hard core so called conservatives are trying repel these new converts because they have the wrong sex, skin color or religion, or heaven forbid dared to come from another country. Their code words to hide their bias against this new group is the "Bush is leaving/abandoning his core!" If they were honest, they would say, we really don't like these new republicans. They make us very uncomfortable."

Well to this biased core, get used to it or be very uncomfortable the next 6+ years, as more will come to the party. If you don't like the new comers, and we know that you don't like us Bushbots, adios. We can live without the Rushbots and Rush, and we welcome our new friends.

Because you say Rush has been "the" voice for conservatism
for 10 years, do you think we should stick with him, right or wrong?

Har, Har, Har. Did you read what you just wrote? This whole
thread is devoted to "Stick with GW right or Wrong."

Talk about disjointed logic.....

This is terrible. And Rush always pooh-poohs the negative influence he can have---as if he is clueless that his comments, founded or not, will be taken out of context and blasted across America to unsuspecting millions by the establishment media.

Rush ought to feel real bad today. I do, hearing that his unjustified jaw-flapping was on NBC nightly news.

Things do not work that way because Americans are conditioned to vote for one of the two corrupted parties. I will not vote for either party in the coming election. I will vote for the man who best reflects TRUE MORAL VALUES. That isn't Bush apparently. And don't give me that dribble about wasting my vote. If every conservative voted for the BEST candidate rather than the major party candidate, Howard Philips would have been elected instead of Bush in tthe last election. Thus, it is the corrupt American populace that is responsible for Clinton being elected twice. Constitution Party, here I come.
