Rush clearly does not like the Commander in Chief and in a time of war,I would think that some sponsors might be a tad queasy about lending their support to the show. We are in a war? Then why when the world's leading terrorist was surrounded by tanks and troops did our President Bush plead for his safety and well being?

"Bush is just doing this so that liberals won't have an issue to attack him on."
I thought Bush had integrity when I voted for him. I was wrong apparently. I'll have to start calling him "Revolving Door Jorge."

We are in a war? Then why when the world's leading terrorist was surrounded by tanks and troops did our President Bush plead for his safety and well being? Wow. A revelation.
Remember when the NRA said Clinton needed a certain level of violence to occure to pursue his agenda?
Ouch!

EXCELLENT POSTS! Your're right on target about the true constitutional issue on the IRS.

Semper Fi from another devildog. 92-98 so I had the misfortune of serving under President Scumbag nearly my entire time.
Excellent point concerning Arafat. If we are truly in a global war against terror why isn't Arafat pushing daisies right now?

this quote by lyn nofziger pretty much says it all for me~
"Big government by its very nature is government that intrudes in people's lives, usurps their rights and responsibilities and confiscates their money. There is nothing conservative about any of this. Regardless of how benevolent and well-meaning its intentions are, government expands almost entirely for the purpose of controlling and regulating the lives of its citizens. Each act of government, each law passed, each regulation written is a step toward limiting the freedom of some one or some group or some organization or some business or industry. Granted, some of these steps may be necessary but most of them are not. So let's not kid ourselves.
If conservatives are people who put freedom ahead of security and individual rights ahead of government control, then it must follow that they are opposed to big government. This being the case, a policy of 'big government conservatism' is merely an excuse for wayward conservatives to justify moving leftward and anyone who denies this is an ignoramus, a fool or a hypocrite." --Lyn Nofziger

What about Gore? He's just as bad.

Right on!

Andrew Sullivan just posted an interesting essay on his website. He documents previous comments from the WH about global warming to buttress the position, that this is not a flip flop at all. He says that the New York Times noticed a few words changed here and there in the report and then blew it all out of proportion, trying to create a story out of old news. He also admonishes Rush and Drudge to chill. The New York Times set out the bait and Drudge and Rush took it,hook, line and sinker.

What about Gore? He's just as bad. um....Gores not in charge. None of us voted for him. He's out, too. Bad policies.

I have a tremendous admiration for men of principle and passion (ala Bibbi Netanyahu). i so agree!
If that makes me some kind of outcast on this website, I welcome the label.
you are in good company, in my most humble opinion! ;)
To: goldilucky
Thanks for the support, goldilucky! Gee, I'm much more accustomed to getting flamed for criticizing Bush and the Republican Party. You must be one of those wacko, tinfoil, nutcase, conspiracy theorists for agreeing with me. That's how I'm classified by the 'Pubies.
To: concerned about politics
That'd be an unbearable as well as unthinkable level. I don't even want to go there. But this protection of the world's leading terrorist needs some explaining. " PULL OUT NOW...AND I MEAN IT!!!!!!!!"

As much proof as the bashers have when they say GW is losing his base. The thread this weekend showing the poll with GW's increasing and incredible strength with his republican base showed how irrelevant all less than a million of them are. Their candidates lost and lost and lost. The way things are going now, they will be even in worse shape in 2004.
Howlin please repost this poll again to stir up the real Kool Aid drinkers, the third party losers.

i posted that quote on my homepage! :)

I thought that you are only 18 or 19. Is so how could you have voted for GW?
To: christine11
you are in good company, in my most humble opinion! ;) What makes me so frustrated is that I feel like folks are arguing like the minority Left!!
I'm not saying I dislike Bush as person; on the contrary, he seems like an incredibly likeable and kind man. I'm just asking the question, "is he REALLY the best that the conservative movement could put forward?".
To cast my question in the mold of those who oppose Affirmative Action: "Is he the 'most qualified'"
I, for one, think he isn't.
To: christine11
GOOD ONE!
To: Wild Irish Rogue
Well Bush has adopted every other Democrat/liberal issue. Why wouldn't he adopt this one, too? His game plan is apparently to steal issues from the Democrats. What a great plan!
