The Washington Dispatch has learned, that at approximately 6 p.m. PDT on Sunday, an office of the Immigration and Naturalization Service in Tacoma, Washington was burglarized.
An inventory of missing items was made available and included the following:
An I.N.S. Admissions Stamp used in validating passports, normally permits 90 day access.
A Parolee Stamp which allows a stateless person (refugees, etc.) to enter and apply for resident alien status within one year.
D-1 and D-2 stamps which allow a ship's crewman entry for business or pleasure purposes.
An assortment of miscellaneous I.N.S. forms.
Most importantly, an I-551 stamp was reported missing. This stamp is used to create a resident alien card which permits the cardholder to become a permanent lawful resident of the United Staes.
In addition to the stamps and forms, a .40 caliber Berretta and two full magazines were also reported missing.
The Washington Dispatch is following the story and will be reporting additional details as they become available.
So you acknowledge that protection exists, then still complain that Bush should "make it all go away".
I'll say it one more time, neither you nor I like it, but thats the way it is.
Now you have really blown me away. I did not even know there was a World Trade Center Tacoma .
While we are busy blaming this President, they are enjoying our hysterics at their misrepresentations in the media. We are the media's usefull idiots, always to be counted upon to attack the President at their merest suggestion.
The question should be about whether the weapon and stamps were secured properly?
If it were an inside job, then there would not have been a break-in, the items would have just disappeared slowly over a period of time.
The stamps themselves are not a big issue. Any document made by the stamps, gets run in the systems and if the person with the document can't answer the questions, he's toast.
The admission stamp number has already been disseminated to the other INS offices, so if it is used, we will know about it.
The red ink the INS uses for the stamps is not at all ordinary, and has never been duplicated. So if they use these stamps, the ink they use will not be the same and will be readily identifiable to an Inspector.
Most of this stuff will be used to make documents that illegals will use to get jobs. I doubt this has anything to do with terrorism.
In a word ... YES!
You're just now noticing?
Yes, each admission stamp is unique, and that stamp number has already been disseminated to the rest of the INS and if any shows up with that stamp in their PP after 3 days ago, they will be detained.
And yes, allot of us in the INS are very competent.
Does a bear do it in the woods?
Wrong, there are no such laws.
Thanks again.
What else is new. Doesn't this happen everyday?
Washington is broken, there is no repairing it, the States must take their power back from D.C.
With all due respect, the ink will only be readily identifiable to an Inspector who's paying attention. INS's reputation of late doesn't lend itself to encourage public confidence.

Again respectfully, the folks who were bootlegging fake Virginia driver's licenses last year probably didn't think they would be used by anyone but illegals to get jobs (and gov't benefits). We all know differently now.
Your absolutely correct, none of us inspectors pay attention to what we do. Your the expert here, with all your experience in INS.
