I wasn't talking about you. I mean it's very fashionable for people who are our enemies to do this; even the enemies among us. How many times have we seen this now, an article, a rage/rant thread, and lo and behold, it comes out that it's been completely misconstrued.
You have to ask yourself, what are the people who contort these things getting from it. Ratings? Money? Attention?

It's time to start kicking butt and taking names. I'm reminded of the one press conference not too long ago where GWB pretty much b!tch-slapped all the reporters. He needs to do that on a more regular basis.
Yeah, has dissing the press made Rummy unpopular?
Way too many hand-wringers in the GOP. They're like the ten of the twelve spies Moses sent into the Promised Land who came back too scared to fight.

What's a Robert Wright?

Ahem.
One of the affects of this is that the early morning talk show hosts picked this up and were going hysterical...at least that is what I heard here this morning. Now a lot of people with no internet access will be going ballistic, either because they think there IS global warming or because they think "Bush caved."
Please tell me again why I should believe anything Drudge says.
I have said this since the campaign: Drudge is not our friend.
To: Miss Marple
Please tell me again why I should believe anything Drudge says.I am greatly disappointed with Drudge as well.
To: Nick Danger
Yet another brilliant Bush secret plan, huh? Well he's either far better than I expected, or far worse than I feared, that's fer shure.

In 1977 snow fell in Fort Lauderdale. Not a lot, but snow. Weather patterns change. In the middle ages it was colder than it is now. It will continue to warm up and then it will begin to cool down. It is nature! Nothing any of these idiots do will change weather patterns now or ever.

The test will be if Rush or Hannity goes nuts. Someone please post any details of their shows for those of us stuck in cubicles.

He's an FBI agent who had a book he wanted to publish.....it got turned down....now he's making all kinds of wild claims, per van Sandt.

What do you mean "Not Really Bush"? He is the President isn't he? He calls the shots doesn't he? Powell works for him doesn't he?
To: NittanyLion
Then we have the most incompetent adminstration on history. This is a very big change, things like this don't get slipped out by a low level functionary. It is sort of like everyone blaming Powell for everything that this administration does that we don't like. Bush is in control, at the top, our pres. Kudos and blame belong squarely at the top, just like with the previous idiot we had for a president.

You need to read the report. As Nick said, it has been on the government web site for a week. There is nothing in this for people to get in an uproar about.
To: Howlin
This guy Robert Wright worked for the FBI from 1993-94, but he has a road map to 9/11? HORSE HOCKEY, he is a RAT SHILL period.

Rush is already reading letters from listeners who have gone off WITHOUT reading the entire EPA report... here we go...
To: baxter999
WHO are you going to relpace him with?
To: rintense
I don't get Rush until 1PM here...it is on tape delay.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I will be in a meeting at that time.
Let me know what is going on if you hear anything.
To: Miss Marple
So far, Rush is being level headed and saying that there is nothing U-Turnish about this report. He pointed out that the document basically states that even though there may be affects from human causes, there is nothing we can do about it now. It haas been done, and any changes we 'try' will not change what has occured.

Kudos and blame belong squarely at the top, just like with the previous idiot we had for a president. Is it a big change? Nick danger is suggesting that the media is picking and choosing controversial passages to present. Somehow I doubt every government-issued report gets read by the White House, unless there's a major policy shift. I can imagine a scenario where the State Dept. basically changed a few numbers and republished an existing report.
To: Miss Marple
Well, I can't figure out what he's saying. In one breath, he's saying the report isn't devestating, and in another breath, he's saying that Dubya has 'caved' and taken another issue from the Dems.
