It is good she does not like Hillary though, but Hillary is going to run in 2008, and Hillary already has 200 electoral votes with New York, California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, Delaware, Rhode Island, New Jersey, safely in her column before she even starts her campaign. 20 million new liberal immigrant voters, plus another 10 million public school kids raised on zero-tolerance rules will get her lots more votes than Gore got. If amnesty is granted to Mexican illegals, she can get another extra 5 million votes.
Does this sound as idiotic to you as it does to me?
You might recall that Saint Paul went around, as Saul of Tarsus, killing Christians, until Jesus called him to His service.
Killing Christians is a lot worse than letting a married man use you sexually, but God changed Saul, and used him to spread the Gospel.
Who is to say He has not changed Dr. Laura and is using her for His purposes, as well?
Scuse me, but a hypocrite is someone who is speaking one way and acting the other. Those photos are from years and years ago and she readily admits that her ideas back then were feminist and self-serving.
I venture to say that if she could turn back the clock, knowing what she knows now, she would not have posed for those photos nor become involved with a married man. Also, she did not post those photos on the Internet. The vindictive guy she broke up with did that.
If having EVER done something wrong in one's life disqualifies a person from ever speaking out on morality, then I guess no one could ever speak out on morality.
No doubt the REAL goal of the Dr. Laura haters.
Looks like she talks about you in the interview: "I'm tired of the 'can't win against evil' way. I'm sorry, you cannot. They'll run you over. So that is my one big passion. "Ten Stupid Things People Do to Let Evil Win." That will be my next passion book. I am angry."
You need to look up "hypocrite" in the dictionary. She didn't pose for the photos and have the affair at the same time as she was preaching against immorality.
Define "Hypocrite."
NO, I'll do it for you.
A "hypocrite" is one who tells you how to live your life but SIMULTANEOUSLY lives their own life in diammetric opposition.
So, is D.L. a hypocrite?
No, she's not. The photos you mention were taken in the early 1970s, when she was single, and a liberal feminist, and glorying in the "sexual revolution."
THEN, she grew up. She began to understand the real danger and damage done by that entire philosophy.
And she did more than just "stop doing" the bad stuff, she actually went out and did something to try to WARN others about it.
Now, you might consider that hypocritical, but I suspect that you're like most people I know who claim that: You don't want anyone telling you what is moral and what is immoral. So you hide behind this silly, moronic subterfuge that the bad things a woman did thirty years ago somehow negates everything good she has done since.
Go pick your nits elsewhere.
I am honored to be in the presence of Christ. I mean you ARE Christ arent you? You dig for a splinter in others, but missed that beam in your own eye. And you have never sinned or made a single mistake. I bow to you. When will you declare yourself, oh my Lord?
Then you go on about Hillary. According to you its a done deal. waterstraat says we should all just follow each other off a cliff, like Lemmings, because its all over!!
If you arent a left wing socialist I wonder what you are. Maybe youre just a spineless coward who has no balls whatsoever. Have you ever taken a stand? Have you ever done anything but moan, weep and fly your well worn white flag?
People like you disgust me beyond all else. I thank God I am nothing like you.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -John Stuart Mill
