Bush's new description of his foreign policy, sketched out during the graduation address at the United States Military Academy, sharply revised the positions he took as a candidate, when he emphasized the need to limit U.S. intervention to regions with immediate bearing on the nation's strategic interests.
Saturday, Bush said the nation "must uncover terror cells in 60 or more countries," or roughly one-third of the world. He renewed his months-old promise to "confront regimes that sponsor terror," even though he has found few American allies to endorse his desire to unseat Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and the Pentagon has told him that the military could be stretched too thin.
"We must take the battle to the enemy, disrupt his plans and confront the worst threats before they emerge," Bush told the cadets, who listened on West Point's football field as their parents applauded robustly from the stands. "In the world we have entered, the only path to safety is the path of action. And this nation will act."
That is a different thing than taking the War on Terror to up to 60 countries, as stated in the opening paragraph. It's deceptive.

Thank you. It's to bad that we have to research the actual facts on our own in order to cut through the BS spin the media puts on stories these days.
It's no wonder there's so many decieved people walking around with views that have no basis in reality.

Simply because their ideas, their agenda is a terrible thing. Most normal people would recoil in horror if they were told the truth. So telling lies is second nature to these types.

From another thread:
According to Yasin, Yousef made the bomb used in the attack and said he learned how to make bombs in a terrorist camp in Peshawar, Pakistan...
I'm beginning to wonder if it isn't their first nature....
World roaming assassination squads. Some innocents will be killed, sure. We've already taken our innocents killed. Move out!

Call before you come, hee, hee.
I'm goin' out to the car now.
I think you are correct. I am sure that President Bush was not suggesting that we invade 60 countries. Probably we will be targeting terrorist cells in upwards of 60 countries. In friend;y nations, like France, we will likely work with local police/armed forces. In unfriendly areas, we may resort to covert action. That may be what he meant.

War on terror - lol.
Homeland defense and missile defense are part of stronger security, and they're essential priorities for America. Yet the war on terror will not be won on the defensive. We must take the battle to the enemy, disrupt his plans, and confront the worst threats before they emerge. (Applause.) In the world we have entered, the only path to safety is the path of action. And this nation will act. (Applause.)
Our security will require the best intelligence, to reveal threats hidden in caves and growing in laboratories. Our security will require modernizing domestic agencies such as the FBI, so they're prepared to act, and act quickly, against danger. Our security will require transforming the military you will lead -- a military that must be ready to strike at a moment's notice in any dark corner of the world. And our security will require all Americans to be forward-looking and resolute, to be ready for preemptive action when necessary to defend our liberty and to defend our lives. (Applause.)
The work ahead is difficult. The choices we will face are complex. We must uncover terror cells in 60 or more countries, using every tool of finance, intelligence and law enforcement. Along with our friends and allies, we must oppose proliferation and confront regimes that sponsor terror, as each case requires. Some nations need military training to fight terror, and we'll provide it. Other nations oppose terror, but tolerate the hatred that leads to terror -- and that must change. (Applause.) We will send diplomats where they are needed, and we will send you, our soldiers, where you're needed. (Applause.)
They must think we have the memories of knats in order to try to claim we're going to go to war with 60 countries. As a matter of fact, most of these countries will require little more than a few crack sniper squads in order to wipe out the terrorists.
