Proverbs 2
1 My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you,
2 making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding;
3 yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding,
4 yes, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures;
5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
8 guarding the paths of justice and preserving the way of His saints.
9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path;
10 For wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;
11 discretion will watch over you; understanding will guard you;
12 delivering you from the way of evil, from men of perverted speech,
13 who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,
14 who rejoice in doing evil and delight in the perverseness of evil;
men whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways.
We choose to bless Your mighty and glorious name this day. We bless You because You bow down Your ear unto us; You hear our voices when we call upon You. You know exactly what we need and You know what is in our hearts. Hear our prayers today, Great God, for we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to Your great and mighty power.
Righteous God, please develop Your godly character in Your servant George Bush. Alert him when he is in danger of any compromises to Your will for him. Make him a beacon of Your truth, Lord, and enable him to seek Your wisdom each time he must make a decision. Let him seek Your truth like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures. Place the knowledge of God in his heart and let it be pleasant to his soul. Help him to see through Your eyes every problem that he faces. Be a shield to him, that he may walk with integrity. Lord, let him not be misled by evil, ruthless men who do not know You. Let him never give ear to the devil’s lies. Strengthen his resolve to walk uprightly and to honor You in every aspect of his life.
Father, please grant President Bush specific wisdom about the plots and schemes of terrorists and how to fight this agonizing war. Enlighten his mind regarding the drilling for oil in Alaska. Show him how to deal with the domestic agenda without caving into ideas and plans that do not honor You. Help him to walk in a manner pleasing unto You. Let him bear fruit in every good work and increase in his knowledge of You.
Guard and protect our military men and women, Father. Shield them from the enemies who seek to destroy them and us. Place strong, faithful leaders in charge of them, and let all members of our armed forces find their strength in You.
We commit these prayers to You, Lord, knowing that You are a faithful God. You have said that Your Word will not return unto You void. We rejoice in You, knowing that You are our God of truth. You will not forget us, Lord. We trust in You to be the answer to all that we need as we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We pray for the tensions that seem to be escalating between India and Pakistan, and for wisdom for Secretary Rumsfeld, and others who are going there to diffuse the anger, that You will use them as Your instruments of peace. We pray for the Middle East; that Your will be done, that You speak to the leaders of Israel so that what they do would be in accordance with Your plan for them. We pray for the war on terror in Afghanistan, and around the world, that the forces of good will be able to overcome the forces of evil.
We also pray today for President Bush, thanking You that You have placed Your servant as leader of this country, and of the free world. We thank You for his faithfulness to You, and we thank You that he has stood for life and truth around the world. We thank You for his testimony, and his clear love for You, that is revealed by his words and deeds.
Continue to give him wisdom and guidance in every decision he makes. Keep him strong in Your word, because we know that he is only a sinner saved by grace, and he is most surely under the attack of Satan because of the work he is doing for good. Put a hedge of protection around him, dear Lord, not only physically, but spiritually and emotionally as well.
Thank You for his good and faithful wife, Laura, and for the help and comfort she is to him. Bless their marriage, and keep it centered in Christ. Help them to both grow closer to You, and as a result closer to each other.
And dear Father, keep us faithful in upholding him in prayer, as well as his administration, the Congress, our and our state and local leaders. Keep us faithful in praying for this nation, whose people have strayed from You. Help us not to become discouraged, but use each of us as individuals to make a difference for Christ, and for His Kingdom here on earth.
Thank You for the answers to these prayers. In Christ's strong Name, I pray. Amen.

Father, how wonderful is your Word! How powerful and how awesome. Thank you for this strong word against fear that you have placed before us today. Release its power into the lives of America's believers, dear Lord. I call out to You to send it upon us. Send it out upon our President and all in government who will accept it. O God I extend it back to You believing it will not return to you void but that You will protect him as a shield, that you watch over who and what crosses George Bush's path today. In the midst of the turmoil around him and us, let him remain confident.
Grant courage, confidence and protection to those who fight around the world today. Whether in the Middle East or whether strategically against terrorism. Give it also to those warriors who fight every day in their homes, churches, in their hearts, even on their knees in spirit wherever they go.. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, I worship You the King of kings and Lord of lords.You are everything to me.
Father, we are the royal priesthood of believers who very well may see the end of the church age. In such a time as this You may be calling us to stand in the gap for our country and the body of Christ in the World. I pray for our President and his cabinet tonite that Your Spirit would lead and guide them in all their decisions. Fortify them with Your courage and strength for the never ending barrage of lies and crisis'.
Lord, I pray for the military personel that You would be with each one that knows you personally to protect and guide and comfort. Please work in those who don't know You to draw them to Yourself.
Lastly, I pray for the church...Your people...bring conviction by the Holy Spirit to turn away from the idols in their lives. The idols of money, sports, luxury,glamor...anything they have set up above their love and devotion to You. Send the fire of the Holy Spirit to burn that which will burn in the end anyway, in Jesus name, amen....Please be with and deliver the Burnham's I pray.
