A classic freep and report. Many thanks...
Did the Dallas Morning News cover your efforts? Link?
Hm, I don't know because I can't stand that liberal rag. Someone did tell me that the Fort Worth Star Telegram did a story, but I haven't seen it.
Channel 11 (CBS) did a pre-event story and interviewed Peggy Venable (CSE) that aired last Friday night. Channels 11 (CBS) and 4 (Fox) covered the event at 5,6,9, and 10 last night. I thought the reports were fairly balanced and conservative got some very good air time holding his flag and explaining why we were there. I haven't heard if Channel 8 (ABC) covered it, but Channel 5 (NBC) was at the event because they parked their van right next to one of ours. I did see 5 filming a heated debate between one of our guys and one of theirs. I don't know if it got any airtime.
There have been a few internet write-ups about this also, but I haven't had time today to chase them down. I'm trying to get the grinch's hand in Austin matched up with his body in Dallas, and Santa Claus in San Antonio? (not really sure where he is) matched up with the grinch (they come as a pair), and the shark needs to get home from Dallas to Austin.
lol, what a way to spend a day!
Was that gal's name really Banana??
I'm so happy that I decided to drive up to Dallas for this event. It was by far the most successful protest/counter protest event I have been a part of. It was so obvious how dejected the opposition was because we were there, and most of all, because we outnumbered them so badly. This is the first time I have seen us be able to do that! I sure hope it is a sign of things to come!
There was one thing that really saddened me. Some woman wearing a black kerchief-mask to cover her face had a little girl around the age of 2 with her. The child had on a red t-shirt with the American flag printed on it. The mother had taken a black marker and made a large A (for America) in the middle of the flag. Then, there was a circle drawn around the A and a slash drawn through it. How can any American be so cruel as to trash their own country to their own children?
I also want to add a line about how fine Jeff Head was. He engaged some of the protesters in some very thoughtful dialogue, and I thought it was evident from the the facial expressions of the protesters that he gave them some things to think about that they had never considered before. I wish I had been smart enough to run my video camera and record this entire conversation. I honestly think that Jeff was responsible for turning around at least some of this uninformed group of young people that we faced today.
Thanks to all the many people who worked so hard to coordinate this effort and put together the myriad of supplies, props, costumes, etc that it took to pull it off.
I'm not surprised. The truth is that we had approx. 125 (counted anywhere between 120 and 125 at various times in the morning) pro-capitalism pro-free enterprise supporters all along the front of the Meyerson Center. The shareholders did have to walk through us to get inside, but we were welcomed there and they were all smiling. The protestors were across a very wide street from us.
Ping Jeff.
Don't Mess With Texas!
GREAT JOB Ms. AntiFeminazi and all thwe freepers LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING ABOUT IT IN PALTALK
