I got the message below in an e-mail from my sister today. A cyst sounds like a much less malevolent diagnosis than a cancerous tumor. (Am I right, patty?) Thank you all for your prayers. I pray Our Heavenly Father will watch over little Kshama and her parents, the doctors, and all who will be invloved in restoring the child's health.

Carole wrote: The date for the operation has been set for June 10th. They are leaving for Detroit the 5th. Kshama will be admitted on the 6th. She will be monitored by EEG and video for a couple of days. She'll be discharged on the 9th and readmitted on the 10th. That is the day they will do the fenestration (a minimally invasive procedure to drain the cyst). She is to be in hospital for a total of 13 days. At this point, since the last MRI with seratonin did not show any areas of epileptic tissue, it is an educated guess that the cyst is the cause of her problems. Please pray that these doctors are right and that she will come home to us whole and well to begin some very extensive physical and speech therapy. Thank you again for your continued prayers. I will write again with news of the operation.
