Also we are not sure if they found rope or not with Chandra's remains, but I wonder if they found rope on Gandeque when he was picked up after his last attack?

Actually, according to the article you cite, albert was on the loose before, during and after the time of Chandra's disappearance. The article says he left the teacher to die in Rock Creek Park in January 2001; he also tried to abduct his neighbor in June of 2001. It is after the latter incident that he was arrested and also found guilty of the teacher's murder.

Read the article again, but I can post more information about if you like. His trial was during the first week on May 2001. This means he was sitting in jail and was waiting for his trial.

I'm probably the only one here who things she was murder IN HER OWN apartment. The blanket used to carry her to the park and the laundered. It would explain why every thing was left there and why the keys are missing. Would also fit into the time frame.

Donna... I see now about your post on this certain article due to the date on it. Tonight I will post links to other articles I have found that says when it happened. Or you can trace back to the MSNBC posting about the Levy case that also made it sound like this guy was a possible perp. I posted other links to other related stories about this guy.

Okay. I reread the article. It is dated as being published in May 2002, not May 2001. So I can assume the trial was in May 2002. Then, the article says: "The June 4 incident in which he tried to drag a woman inside his home at Aspen Hill Road and Arctic Avenue..." With this quote and many others, I have to assume that albert was free to try to snag his neighbor in June 2001, since it is not June 2002 yet. The date that this article was published, and the way it is written clearly establishes that albert was free until he was arrested in June 2001. Perhaps the article publication date is wrong or the reporter got his/her facts wrong on the other dates cited within the article?

Oh... Sue Wen Stottmeister was killed in January of 2001. I will post more tonight on it that will have the trial date in it and when she was actually killed.

Brigette! No! The other articles you point to also do not support the idea that this albert dude was in jail during Chandra's disappearance either. Unless all the articles you posted are inaccurate, this is what they all lead to: Jan. 2001 -- the teacher is assaulted and left to die at Rock Creek Park; June 4, 2001 -- albert tries to drag his neighbor into his house and is caught and arrested. June 29, 2001 -- albert is indicted. If, as you say, he is already in jail the first week of May 2001, then how could he have assaulted his neighbor in June? The articles say that it was his attempt on June 4th to assault his neighbor that led to his confession to killing the teacher months earlier. Believe me, Brigette, I never ever want to support anything said by condit's deceitful lawyer, but the articles cited in this thread do not neccesarily contradict him on this particluar point: albert was around and about until his arrest in early June 2001.
