President Bush attended a NATO ceremony today called the 'Rome Declaration', which made Russia a junior member. Bush also raised concerns regarding the child sex scandal in the Catholic Church as he met with Pope John Paul. The President and First Lady returned to the White House late this afternoon. We are currently working on what word we can substitute "Gregory" for. LOL! He was so full of himself even speaking in French to Chirac. Maybe we could say that people are "full of Gregory"!
I think you get the gist of my substitution.

The press is nothing but a ship of fools!! On a sea of despair,
Heading nowhere
Compassless, can't even find the North Star
When it's shining on them.
Where will they land?
Let us hope they'll crash into Reality some day soon.

He is an idiot but really, his upbringing was pathetic. I didn't bring it up as a defense but after watching that show, it became very clear that Al's whole life has been a charade. Tipper even admits on tape that Al just did the Vietnam thing to help his Dad and himself in the future. It's really sad and Gore's a dip for not recognizing it and changing his direction.
I thank God every day for those 537 votes in Florida!

Warning! Clymer alert: avert your eyes if neccessary!
Sept. 5 Republican presidential candidate George W. Bush is not apologizing for an off-color remark he made about a New York Times reporter. Talking to running mate Dick Cheney before a Labor Day speech Monday in Naperville, Ill. in which he talked about the need for plainspoken Americans in the White House Bush was pretty blunt himself. The Texas governor used an expletive when referring to the New York Times Adam Clymer, one of the reporters who has been covering his campaign. Unaware he was speaking into an open microphone, Bush leaned over to Cheney and said, Theres Adam Clymer, major-league a------ from the New York Times. Cheney responded, Oh yeah, he is, big time.

One year I planted cilantrol and I guess the winds blew the seeds all over but that year we had cilantro all over our yard. The place smelled good and I always had a strange desire to eat pico de gallo. This growth lasted one year and then they all died.

Yes, the photo of Bush and the Pope with their hands clasped together is wonderful and I just sent it to everyone on my Email list who I thought would appreciate the moment as much as I did. I also think our President just might be thinking this will be the last time together. The Pope looks so frail and tired...he's been wonderful. I was at the Vatican right after his hip operation and it was awesome...once in a lifetime experience.

Dubya was on David Letterman shortly after that happened and relayed the incident. He himself said his comment was prompted by Clymer's constant badgering of Cheney.

Remember Clinton never won the popular vote--either in 1992 and 1996.

It is nice to see the evolution of GWB. Gore seems to just be revolving. Gore is also devolving.
Wonder if he'll figure out why he was put on earth before he leaves it.

I truly believe it really is history in the making Yes, and we who see these photos of the the two of them that rintense gives us every day can appreciate this much better than those who do not have the advantage of seeing these pictures.

I watched Imus early this morning, because I KNEW he would make a big deal out of David Gregory's snippy question to President Bush. I was richly rewarded for my early rising. They had a poll going all morning - Was Gregory grandstanding or asking a legit question? 100% thought he was grandstanding. They showed the clip over and over. Then Gregory called in - he is a frequent caller to report the news - and Imus told him the poll results. Gregory, who has actually been pretty good on Imus regularly, was spinning himself into a corkscrew. Very amusing.
I think President Bush seems to actually like David Gregory. He refers to him often as "Stretch". But the question about all the protests was a bit much - and the French question to Chirac really was just so much puffery. Maybe our W was a bit jet lagged - but I'm proud that he finally called the press on it's negative BS. If Gregory had only taken the time to look at the Daily Dose, he would have seen that MANY of people were out there to welcome our President. :-)
