President Bush attended a NATO ceremony today called the 'Rome Declaration', which made Russia a junior member. Bush also raised concerns regarding the child sex scandal in the Catholic Church as he met with Pope John Paul. The President and First Lady returned to the White House late this afternoon. Get those right-clicks ready and enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Around the time of the first Bush - Putin meeting, I read a report that Putin said he spends an hour a day learning English. At their first meeting in Europe, they walked and spoke together alone, in English -- you probably saw that. Anyway, I'm guessing Putin has the motivation to learn it as well as he can, considering the direction Russia is going. And Putin seems to be someone who likes being educated.

I missed it by 30 seconds, I turned it on when Chirac was defending Dubya by saying that the protestors didn't represent the majority of people in France, I read the transcript yesterday and laughed, I listened to the Audio tonight and fell out of my chair, Dubya strummed him like a cheap guitar, and deservingly so. David Gregory is an idiot and was treated like one :-)

It's a goodnight, everyone. We got a new black lab pup (Duke) tonight, and so far he is being good, but I know we will have an early call tomorrow morning.
You all take care and hope to catch you tomorrow.

I just can't take it in and compute it yet. I understand what you mean .. I think a part of me doesn't want to because I may just really lose it

Thank you for posting that link. How about this?? I'd forgotten about this joint appearance.
.... But there he is, last year in Bologna, on the platform with Bob Dylan, quite at home. Do you remember what he said? Bob Dylan sang a couple of songs, and then the Pope went to the microphone and he said--it was a big gathering of Italian youth--and he said, "How many roads must a man walk down before you call him a man?" And then he said, "There is one road, and it is the road of Jesus Christ."

Hi there! I do hope that Tony Blair is seeing what a real leader and gentleman is like. I don't wish to dig up old history, but wasn't he "Buddy-Buddy" with the last White House resident? I have no reservations that he stands besides us in all things and his recent comments and speeches bear that out. Sometimes I just feel that we are still standing all alone in this fight

Yeah, I've thought that too, from time to time.
I guess it's always a good idea to just remain "cautiously optimistic."

The pope usually has Tuesdays off and does not meet with digitaries but he made an exception with Bush.

In case you weren't pulling our hypothetical leg, or in case someone didn't know otherwise, the chap second from the left, top row, in the second photo of #23 is Luxembourg's Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker.
