President Bush attended a NATO ceremony today called the 'Rome Declaration', which made Russia a junior member. Bush also raised concerns regarding the child sex scandal in the Catholic Church as he met with Pope John Paul. The President and First Lady returned to the White House late this afternoon. Get those right-clicks ready and enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

OH, yes, GRAVITAS! The empty suit, who was sitting on the lap of Dick Cheney! HA! The press is nothing but a ship of fools!!

Did you hear that montage of 'gravitas' quotes that Rush did (back when I still liked him)? It was hilarious.

There was a slide show of pictures taken on 9/11 from someone who lived across the river. The first picture showed the the towers after the first plane hit. The last picture shows the skyline without the towers. When you compare the last to the first, it breaks your heart all over again.

During the campaign, if you will remember there was the famous interchange between President Bush and Vice President Cheney, overheard on a live microphone.

Cheney: There's Adam Clymer, from the New York Times.
Bush: He's a real a**hole.
Cheney: Big time.

Thus, the name Clymer, here in Free Republic, has become a euphemism for a slightly more salty term.

We are currently working on what word we can substitute "Gregory" for. LOL!

What a blessing to have a professing Christian as President. Please take a moment after you read this to pray for him.

Amen.

For months I have expected that eventually I would be able to figure out what the word "clymer" means

It is a new perjorative which came about as the result of a remark made by Dubya to Cheney during a campaign event. Dubya saw Adam Clymer of the NY Times, leaned over to Cheney and said (not realizing the mikes had been turned on) "There's Adam Clymer, he's a real a$$hole" to which Cheney responded "Yeah, big time!". The media got their knickers in a twist about Dubya using that term about one of their own!

That's why we now use the term 'Clymer' as a way of saying the nasty word, and you'll see folks from time to time use "Big Time" as a response to something said by another freeper.

The media jerks latch on to something and copy it over and over. Remember "quagmire"? It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. We should start listing those phrases each night.

Yes, "Reading for Comprehension" wasn't one of his best subjects!

And...I bet he read the Bible, but didn't like it because none of the stories were about him!
