President Bush attended a NATO ceremony today called the 'Rome Declaration', which made Russia a junior member. Bush also raised concerns regarding the child sex scandal in the Catholic Church as he met with Pope John Paul. The President and First Lady returned to the White House late this afternoon. Get those right-clicks ready and enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I believe you are correct. I believe I remember hearing during The Pope's visit to our city, that he can speak nine languages.

Wow! That sounds like the perfect job. A John Deer mower and acres of grass.

Pope once remarked that the one person to whom he had the most difficulty communicating with was Clinton. Said he felt like he was talking to a wall; that Clinton wasn't paying the slightest bit of attention to him

That's because, 10 pound Bibles notwithstanding, x42 had not the lightest inclination to ANYTHING religious. It would sure put a crimp in his lifestyle, don't you think?

It is hard to talk to anyone who is not the least bit interested in anything you have to say!

You know...there would be a lot of changes if WE ruled the fashion world! ha ha

Actually, I bet you have been noticing the delicate PR nuances in the outfits they HAVE been wearing, like I have. Whomever decides on what they both to wear has a great deal of respect for whomever they will be with, and whatever country or event they are in or going to. It's been a lot of fun watching the choices that have been made on their behalf--and America's too, for that matter as they represent us. Very good choices! Cheers to the real official fashion consultant(s) at the WH! (although you may want to accent your expertise with a few tidbits from Nordy and Suzi just for good measure! ;-)

President Bush to Prime Minister Blair: "If you see that clymer Gregory, be sure you don't let him get away with anything. I've smoked him out and got him on the run."

For months I have expected that eventually I would be able to figure out what the word "clymer" means. Not in my dictionary. I give up. Would you kindly tell me what the word means?

"To clinton, the meeting with the pope was just another photo-op, nothing more."

What about the unsuccessful "Exorcism" performed on Clinton by the Pope? :-)

Yes definitely! My hubby said to me tonight, "Geez, I hope he's going to take a couple of days off - he's been everywhere these past few days!" Here, here!

It's reminding me of that scene in "Spiderman" when the Aunt says to the kid (who's Spiderman)..."You've got to take it easy...you've been working too hard...you're NOT Superman , you know!"

I completely lose it when I see the images of the planes crashing into the towers

Reading your post made me realize how much I still am in shock over that image. I still look at the videos and think, "What was it like to be in the planes or the buildings?" I just can't take it in and compute it yet. The closest I get is when I think about the man who called his mother from the second tower and was on the phone with her as he looked up to see the second plane headed ... right for him. His mother heard him scream and the line went dead. But I still can't really grasp it. I don't look forward to the day when it becomes graspable for me.

Well, you just have to do it! Rome is such a wonderful city. My boys both fell in love with it. The taxis were all on strike so we had to walk EVERYWHERE. It was great, however, as you really see so much more when you are walking. I'd go back to Rome in a heartbeat.

The funny thing is that the dems actually set up conference calls and meetings and agree on which keyword such as "gravitas" or catch phrase they will each use on the sunday morning tv news shows or interviews. Quite comical. I thinkmore then half the voters saw through that, even before the election.
