Gregory got his pee-pee publicly whacked by the President of the United States for a very good reason: he (Gregory) was being rude, openly confrontative, and obnoxious. For good measure, Bush was right on another point: the man was showing off.
Gregory should tuck his tail between his legs and slither home on the next available flight. Instead, he'll probably wear his dressing-down as a badge of honor.
To: RightOnline
When someone says "I can go on.", inherent in that phrase is a vain sort of vulnerability, "look at me daddy.", attitude.
Mr. Gregory needs some deep therapy, if he's going to let the entire world hear how screwed up he is.
It's also arrogant and obnoxious. GW should have asked him to continue and let him hang himself. But GW's not a smart ass super reporter studman.

What a guy! Go, Dubya!
For years, I have tried to be reasonable, rational, and thoughtful of rude and insulting people. I have come to the conclusion that you can't "talk" decency into them--and ignoring them just makes them worse. The only effective way I have been able to deal with a louse is to laugh at him. Liberals and the Press, as a rule, have overinflated egos filled with hot air. Humor and ridicule seem to be the only way to burst their bubbles of self importance.

Turning to Mr. Chirac, [Gregory] added in French: "And, Mr. President, would you maybe comment on that?"
"Very good," Mr. Bush said sardonically. "The guy memorizes four words, and he plays like he's intercontinental."
"I can go on," Mr. Gregory offered.
"I'm impressed que bueno," said Mr. Bush, using the Spanish phrase for "how wonderful." He deadpanned: "Now I'm literate in two languages."OMG! Did this really happen? Way to go Mr. President, LOL!

If jet lag causes Dubya to tell it like it is, I say let's keep him airborne.
Plain Talk is what this nation needs, now more than ever. It is what Americans respond to and it annoys the libs.

But fellow freepers, the unanswered question is: Who is the biggest @$$hole-- Adam Clymer or David Gregory? Have Clymer, Gregory and @$$hole become interchangable?
To: JohnHuang2
David Gregory, the MSNBC reporter that is nicknamed "Stretch" by GWB is on the Imus morning show frequently. I have a yummy feeling that Imus and his gang (especially Bernard) will have a fun time at "Stretch's" expense the next time he is on the show. Anticipation !!!

These particular protestors seemed to be sympathizers of Arafat and terrorists. Amazing for our press to give them mention. Why? The American press is hardly American. They would be thrilled with another terrorist attact, they would prefer one that killed thousands so they have something to write about.
They will tear this country apart, they will divide us, they will endanger us all if only they can get a scoop and a little more face time.
The reason they are doing this is to undermine the country and weaken us in the face of our enemies so there WILL be another attack.

The reporters chuckled at the deft diplomatic recovery.Instead of being deft, shouldn't we tell the press to stop their insane over-imaginative fantasies about the US and this administration? I mean, isn't yelling fire when there's no fire illegal? Damn it, this is a Goebblelian and the leaders are shaking in their boots in front of the press.

It was one of the finest moments I have ever seen on television, especially because it was monkey-man David Gregory. ...aka "The Rat-faced Boy."

Why? Eternal hope? That one day those in the press will wake up and have a date with reality. That there are real people affected by their reporting.
With the wonders of the Net we might be able to help that day come more quickly.
