May 26, 2002 -- Investigators believe Chandra Levy was lured to her death by someone she knew or slain by a predator who methodically stalked her, police sources said yesterday.

Evidence collected at the spot where her remains were found points away from her being killed in a random attack while she was jogging, the sources said.

I couldn't find anything on him, but it does seem that he did have connections to Condit. Somebody renting that place did anyway!

I think Dennis E connection is with North Coast Rep. Doug Bosco, who of course would have ties with Condit. They would fly in and out of the same airports etc. Will look more up on Bosco.

Rep. Doug Bosco (D-California: District 1) Eureka
Served in House: 1983-1991

Must have come home after 1991; had palns to return to DC/or leased the apartment to CA people. An ad in the SF newspaper would get Levy's attention or maybe they were led to location by the people sponcoring the internship. Do you know, was it her congressman?

Has Lucas (OK) ever explained why he missed all of his votes on May17 2001, the day of Condit's run?

[Research has long] shown that when a woman is killed, the offender is typically her intimate male partner. In fact, American women are more likely killed by their male partners than by anybody else. In fact, a woman is more likely to be killed by an intimate partner than by all other categories of known assailants combined.
That's ALL folks!

He "was went" on trial?

I read something different, that he had been arrested for breaking and entering*, and was AWAITING trial (on on bond) when he attacked the first of his known victims on the trail near broad branch road. I have read accounts that say he was NOT incarcerted on May 1.

WHere sis you read he was in jail on May 1?

*he was either already a rapist, or working his way up to ir

I don't thin John's statement is accurate.

He was AWAITING trial (for breaking and entering), and had not yet been tried, when he attacked the first of his known victims. He was out on bond.

If he was incarcerated on May 1, that would settle that. But I read that he was not known to be incarcerated on the date that Levy disappeared.

I was right, John Jamison's info is not accurate.

He was awaiting trial for breaking and entering when he attacked the first of his known victims.

He was out on bond. He was not in jail on May 1.

The date of the breaking and entering offense was 5-7-01.

The smokinggun.com has copies of the arrest warrant, and also his guilty plea to the two assaults on the trail off of broad branch road. click here to see the documents

NBC4 has this tidbit "At his sentencing, one of the victims said, 'When my attacker dragged me into the ravine, holding a knife to my throat and covering my mouth, I thought, and still think today, that he was going to rape me or try to kill me. I was terrorized by the knowledge that my life could have ended violently in a ravine in Rock Creek Park.'"

I think that's what happened to Chandra, and that Ingmar killed her.

And lest anyone think he was after someone's stereo on the B&E charge, I suggest you read the arrest report here.

I think Condit knew where she was, I think he met her that day, but put his own wish to avoid scandal and suspicion over her life.

Check posts 484 and 487, we cleared it up last night. There were atleast two bad guys the press was offering as Gary substitute units. One was in jail the other was probably out, but had been a bouncing ball. The oft cited mugger seems have run every time someone screemed. I found three cases. He was arrested within the hour in all three cases.

He took a gold ring from apartment, why didn't he take Chandra's gold ring with diamond chips found at body scene?

Ah, come on now, this mugger is a wimp.

Gary's the one who needed her dead, Gary's the who ran on May 17th when they started the search and Gary's the one who ran last week when they found her.

Are you referring to Guandique? He wasn't arrested until six weeks after the first known assault for which he is now serving time. And Guandique was NOT in jail on May 1.

Check out the story he gave the arresting officer in July. Master of Denial. He's a rapist. He rolled down the ravine with C. just like the second victim, only C. didn't have an opportunity to escape.

BTW, he didn't run b/c the (second) victim screamed. She got away. Unless you want to believe the victim made up her story, and take his word that he was massaging a cramp by the side of the trail, the victim tripped on him causing them both to fall in the ravine, and that she screamed when he tried to help her up, and that's why he ran into the woods. Or his second account, which is that yes, they fell into the ravine, no he didn't have a knife, (both the victims said he had a knife, both times he denied it) and that he was just after her walkman. (gee what happened to your leg cramp, buddy?)

Gary ran, because he was thinking all his dark secrets might be exposed. He met her that day, or knew where she was. He'd already lied to the police about it. No way out.

I guess he figured taking her life would make taking the ring risky business.

He's not a "mugger", he's got a neon sign flashing "rapist" over his head.
