All,
Question: Has anyone seen this reported on cable TV other than Fox? I saw it reported on FNC once about 1/2 hour ago, but they haven't said one thing more. By the looks of this thread, no other cable channel has reported it.
To: A Citizen Reporter
Isn't it funny how that works lately.

al Qaeda and The Taliban do also.

I'm no expert but I think you could characterize the head dress worn by OBL and Mullah Omar as turbans
To: The Turbanator
Thank you, you're right. And with your name, you should be up on turbans.

I haven't heard jack, just a few internet stories from local sources. Go figure...

he was tackled by an airline employee and another mana customer jumps on him and then some other individuals got involved also
Two versions in the same story which is true, I wonder?

There are some people who wear turbans who have earned and deserve my respect, and have it. The Sikh Regiment was at one time the most decorated regiment in the British Army; following it's transfer to the Army of India, it became the most decorated unit in that nation's service, and the Sikh's are quite busy with the present border hostilities with the Pakistanis.
Would I care to serve with such a unit? Oh no. They have their own way of doing things, their own traditions and standards. But I remain as respectful of them as I was when I first encountered them, and I'll not be the one to make fun of *their* turbans, nor of their beliefs, their ways, nor their earned pride in those things.
As for the Muslum crazies shooting unarmed airline passengers? Feed them to the pigs.

People were making fun of his turban At the local jail, they'll be making fun of a large cop's foot in his ass.

KENNER, La. -- A woman was shot Wednesday afternoon as she stood in the ticket lobby of New Orleans' Louis Armstrong International Airport. Witnesses said a man tackled the shooter after the gun jammed or misfired.
A suspect was taken into custody, said airport spokeswoman Michelle Dufourc. It was not known if the suspect and victim knew each other. Their identities were unavailable.
The woman was hospitalized in stable condition. Airport spokeswoman Michelle Dufourc said the woman's injuries did not appear life threatening.
"I heard one very loud boom," said Mary Ann Rouanet, a US Airways ticketing agent. She said she ducked behind the counter; other employees scrambled out of sight through the baggage conveyor.
Another witness, Jonathon Jenkins, told WWL-TV that the shooter was subdued by another man after the gun jammed.
"Everyone scattered. Everyone went down in the middle of the lobby," Jenkins said. "I went down and when I came up I noticed a man with a shotgun in his hand. ... He went to pump the gun again and it jammed."

Amazing, it was a sawed off! Says he walked up to some woman in line and just blasted her. Terrible! Prayer bump for the woman and her family.

Huh? "Patrick Gott" was carrying a Koran wearing a turban? This was obviously an attempt by a right-wing extremist to slander Muslims. </sarcasm

Not one thing on CNN yet....

This is exactly why I have been on my soapbox and screaming that we have to check people before they get into the terminal. We need checks at the perimeter. If it were a bomb, he would have killed many people. By the time someone gets to a machine to be x-rayed, he is in a position to do a great amount of damage.

So far it doesn't sound like a terrorist attack but some stupid cowboy with no brains... Now why'd you have to go and say an ignorant thing like that?

Armed Indian Army soldiers move out of a bunker
somewhere on the International Border near Jammu,
India, on Monday, May 20, 2002. Tension on the
border between India and Pakistan has increased
with increasingly heavy exchange of fire between
the two nuclear rivals.

"Flights were continuing but delays were reported."Okay, I think I'm beginning to understand our airport security system, but let me just run through some hypothetical scenarios to make sure:
Incident |
Response |
Grandma carries knitting needles into waiting area |
Evacuate terminal |
Guy runs up the down escalator |
Evacuate terminal |
Somebody spills a packet of Sweet'n'Low |
Evacuate terminal |
Turbanned gunman screams "Allahu akhbar!" and opens fire |
Flights continue. Business as usual. |
That about sum it up?

Serious question - when those dudes go into battle, do they wear helmets?
To: Excuse_My_Bellicosity
I saw this on Fox. Man carrying a koran and wearing a turban starts shouting about allah and shooting bystanders. Then a commercial, then nothing. Someone is spiking this story.
