There are some people who wear turbans who have earned and deserve my respect, and have it. The Sikh Regiment was at one time the most decorated regiment in the British Army; following it's transfer to the Army of India, it became the most decorated unit in that nation's service, and the Sikh's are quite busy with the present border hostilities with the Pakistanis.

Would I care to serve with such a unit? Oh no. They have their own way of doing things, their own traditions and standards. But I remain as respectful of them as I was when I first encountered them, and I'll not be the one to make fun of *their* turbans, nor of their beliefs, their ways, nor their earned pride in those things.

As for the Muslum crazies shooting unarmed airline passengers? Feed them to the pigs.

Armed Indian Army soldiers move out of a bunker
somewhere on the International Border near Jammu,
India, on Monday, May 20, 2002. Tension on the
border between India and Pakistan has increased
with increasingly heavy exchange of fire between
the two nuclear rivals.

I used to work with a Sikh who was a great guy. They're 180 from the terrorist idiots in Afghanistan.

I agree that the Sikh Regiment was outstanding for bravery. You, however, may be interested to know that when I was in Vancouver, Canada a month ago, the lead story on the news was *another* shootout in the Indo-Canadian area. When I asked a Canadian friend about it, she said they were the people from India who get into fire fights. I asked her where the h3ll they got guns, since they'd all been confiscated. The answer of course was that only the honest citizens were disarmed.

When I went up two weeks ago, the lead story was about two couples with a full arsenal being arrested in a motel about five miles from me in the south suburban Vancouver area.

Golly, it's swell to be an unarmed tourist there, eh?
