She was buried under just enough ground to block the dog's scent but not enough to keep her from surfacing after a year of weather and soil erosion.

Elena can correct me if I'm wrong, but I also believe that Wecht said earlier on in this discussion that there is a chance that this body may have been placed here AFTER they knew the area had been thoroughly searched.

Oh, listen to Cyril Wecht! Saying the body may have been moved there AFTER the search, when they knew the area was not going to be searched anymore. This is going to get crazy! I don't get why if someone had the body all this time they wouldn't have dumped it far away from D.C. Deep in the Blue Ridge mountains or a deep gorge in West Virginia or something. This theory makes no sense.

Condit's guilty.... look at Ballston, Luray, the little wife with no thumbs who cleaned up after him....his goons...and queers... and S&M .... the bastard is guilty as sin

"I wonder if they found his watch nearby. It is my theory that he lost, or left the watch at the scene. He realized it later & that's why he went out of his way to hide the watch box" My theory is he used the watch as payment to the hired hit man.

I thought that even the FBI had been brought into her search.

And if the animals dug the body up close the the surface, according to NBC..
Dont discount that Saudi ambassador who lives by Rock Creek Park and was implicated in the Domick Dunne Vanity Fair 'House Whisperer' acticle.

LOOK FOR SKELTON OF FETUS. IF FOUND, EXAMINE BONE MARROW DNA...FIND THE DADDY. Only if it's far enough along. Early on the skeleton is mostly cartilege, and would probably have decayed by now.

Ted somebody on Fox saying we may know within two or three hours if this was Chandra; he is a former D.C. detective.

Could be Friday at the earliest before we get 100% DNA confirmation, but the walkman and the location is a huge tip off.Cyril Wecht just said it could be in a hour or so, I think because of dental records. And Ted Williams, the DC cop, was saying just 2-3 hours. So we may know pretty soon...

So far, I've received 4 phone calls and not a single ping.
Wonder if the networks are going to set up camp at Condit's Modesto office again.
I would guess that this is now going to move forward from a "missing person" case to a homicide investigation.
Start cranking out the subpoenas.
The correct spelling for the suspected perp:
Gary Condit (D-CA)

"Well, as the FBI guest on Fox is saying, it depends on how deep the body was buried"...There are dogs trained to find bodies buried underground. The grave - if there is one - has to be relatively shallow. A standard six footer would have drawn the notice of even the DC police. I wonder who found the body? Bet it wasn't the DC police. If it was, I'm immediately gonna wonder if they were given the word that nough time had passed to conveniently "find" the body.
To: GirlyGirl
I'm actually sure, for no good reason I can state, that this is her.
To: lasereye
If an accomplice had the body and was holding out for more money or a favor, he might have moved it as revenge. Or perhaps the body was really there, and some of those stooges that were searching were paid not to find it.
