I may have to actually break down and watch Captain Dan tonight. Just curious. I doubt he'll even mention it, he hardly ever did before.

I skimmed all the posts,I sure as hell hope the cops had an eye on what Condit does, phone calls/body posture/unexplained trips etc. etc. etc. BEFORE this hit the news..... We still don't know if Condit actually went to his doctor when Chandra disappeared as he claimed. Condit's activities on the afternoon of Chandra's disappearance are still shrouded in obscurity. Hopefully, the cops have been pulling a Robert Blake on Condit and have been quietly gathering all this information/evidence for the past year.

If they found a body and a walkman, why wait 24-36 hours to confirm the body is hers? Just fingerprint the inside of the walkman. -- What kind of 20-something uses a walkman these days?

Back in the late 1980s/early 1990s, a mainstream magazine (maybe even Reader's Digest ; can't get more 'mainstream' than that) said that there had been such a push to get as many minorities onto the DC police force that it was accepting people who were borderline retarded into the academy. It also stated that the DC police force was one of the finest in the country, but after this big push, it was one of the worst.

It will be interesting to see how Rather reports this tonight. Let me try .. "While the White House backpedals feverishly on its dereliction of duty in '9-11 gate', a body was found in Washington D.C. today. The body may, and we emphasize may, be that of a former intern for a United States Congressman."
Meanwhile, President Bush was again on the defensive today in the 9-11 matter ....."

Condit failed to tell investigators he was having an affair with Levy until his third interview, more than two months after Levy vanished,... Can the liberals over at MSNBC not tell us that "he lied"?
To: Miss Marple
If this is Chandra Levy, Rather is going to be FORCED to report it, unless he calls in sick and someone else does it. I think I'll tune in to CBS tonight and watch him squirm.
To: Miss Marple
Oh! I had forgotten that.......did he EVER report it????

I just read the posts about how a hiker found it.

I doubt he'll even mention it, he hardly ever did before. And the one and ONLY time that Blather nervously reported on this case, he got it WRONG. There was no FBI "cold case team" working on this as he ERRRONEOUSLY reported.

"The Headline reeeaadds: 'He KNEW!" Knew whaaaatt? Mmmmyyyy Constiutients Waaaaannnt to know!!
To: Teacup
Teacup, you are SO right! In fact, I bet Bush had a long term affair with Chandra and had her killed before the election...and now the democrats have found the body and will use that to make sure Hilliary gets elected! (SARCASM!!) I wouldn't put anything past that pack of rats.

Time to get out your handy-dandy notebook!

Condit LOST? Awesome. You know, even if he didn't kill her...if Chandra was the victim of a random act of violence or whatever, I thought Condit was a creep. He revealed a lack of character in the way he handled the situation. He behaved guiltily, even if he was only guilty of being a sleaze-bag. As more details of his politics and personal life came out, I just went "eeewwww!"

Oh, Lord. It just hit me that now we have to be subjected to more meaningless blather from that idiot Ramsey again.
Ugh.

Rock Creek Park is in Maryland, but right on the edge Washington, D.C.

I think once. Ask PJ-Comix, who knows more about Rather and this issue than I do.
To: Fred Mertz

Could be Friday at the earliest before we get 100% DNA confirmation, but the walkman and the location is a huge tip off.

Rock Creek Park is a park and freeway system that runs from Maryland through DC, and cuts through the "upscale" part of DC known as Georgetown. It empties into the Potomac between the Francis Scott Key Bridge (which is at the western end of DC and links it to Virginia) and, downstream, the Kennedy Center. There is a canal system that it may link to. It is a nice area visually but has the usual problems public places have in some parts of the country.
