Zim farmer accused of poisoning harvest

Zimbabwe police are looking for a commercial farmer accused of spraying poison on more than 10,000 tons of his maize crop and destroying his farming equipment.
The farmer, Bazil Hulloville Brent, who state media have accused of taking these actions because he "could not bear the thought of anyone eating his harvest", has vehemently denied the allegation, saying the maize crop was contaminated naturally after a rainstorm.
Agriculture Minister Joseph Made told the state owned Herald newspaper that criminal acts by white farmers would be investigated and the "culprits would be brought to book".
Made said he had received reports last month of commercial farmers who were vandalising irrigation equipment, spraying sugar cane plantations with harmful chemicals and infecting cattle with disease to protest against the seizures of their farms and to sabotage the economy.
Mrs Loice Mugadzaweta, the new farmer who has since been allocated Brent's farm, claimed in an interview that Brent had told her that he was destroying his crop.
"He told me that he had deliberately sprayed the maize with a deadly poison because he was leaving the farm and could not bear the thought of anyone eating his harvest," Mugadzaweta told the Herald, which splashed pictures of the "poisoned crop" on its pages.
But Brent denied the allegations through the mainly Commercial Farmers Union whose spokesperson, Jenni Williams, said that the 10 tons of maize referred to by the Herald was reaped last year and had been lying outdoors since. She said the maize was unfit for livestock consumption as it was infected by a disease called diplodia, which spreads after rains.
Brent could also not have destroyed his farming equipment as he had not been living on his land for the past three weeks after he was threatened and evicted by farm invaders, she said. - Independent Foreign Service

GOOD!
All Zim farmers should salt the land, poison the crops, poison the wells, sugar the tractor motors, burn the farmhouse and the barn, slaughter the cattle, torch their Zim flag, and wack each and every "war veteran" they encounter on the way out of Zimbabwe.
Leave nothing for looters.

Maybe, but it occurs to me that this was one of the things the Soviet government accused the Kulaks of just prior to seizing their land, starving them, and sending them to the Gulag. Mugabe strikes me as a Stalin wannabe.

It is SO hard to NOT sound racist.
White farmers in Zim need to leave before they are killed. I belive it's just that simple. I guess they could sue in the World Court or complain to the UN, but we all know what that means.... Nothing will happen!
I wonder if those white farmers will ever get reparations? I wonder if any atheletic teams are named after anyone white? Will Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton help? Hillary will help, won't she?

I don't see it as a race issue. I don't care if these farmers are black or white or mixed or asian or whatever. They are
people suffering a huge injustice at the hand of an unelected outlaw regime.
If Mugabi and his outlaw regime target whites and asians, then it is they who are racist.

Why bother, just walk off and leave the farms to the incompetents that want them. Everything will be trashed within a month.

This would come under the heading of "sowing what you reap."

You have a good point. But it's the principle of the thing. I want them to see nothing but ruin and devastation the moment they set foot on a seized farm. Let their hearts sink in despair as their prize is denied. Let panic set in among them as their stomach growls and the brain knows there isn't even a chance of success.

When Mugabe attacks white farmers and takes their land away because they are white, one can only conclude the govt of Zim is racist. I also read he is threatening Asian farmers as well. In fact, if we apply historic standards, taking the white farms is racist but killing white farmers is nothing short of genocide and ethnic clensing.
My post was meant to be satirical but let's consider the seriousness of it. IF our current US race-wh*res don't condem what is happening in Zim, then why should anyone take them seriously in the US? The Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons of the world are really nothing more than black KKKers intent on propelling their race at the expense of other races. Furthermore, they are just being good Democrats too, I guess.

Booby traps can be divided into explosive and non-explosive antipersonnel devices and anti-vehicle (i.e., tank, vehicle, helicopter, and riverine craft) devices. Antipersonnel booby traps were concentrated in helicopter landing zones, narrow passages, paddy dikes, tree and fence lines, trail junctions, and other commonly traveled routes. Anti-vehicle booby traps were deployed primarily on road networks, bridges, potential laager positions, and riverine choke points.
