US Cardinal soon to be outed as homosexual...Which one?
O'Reilly, NY Post, The Diocese Report, others... ^

Posted on 05/20/2002 7:49:43 PM PDT by Polycarp

On Fox tonight O'Reilly said a cardinal is about to be outed as an active homosexual. Rumor has it Bishop Bruskiwiecz sent a letter telling this Cardinal to "resign, or else..."

NY POST: WHICH American cardinal recently disclosed to insiders a confidential letter he received from a bishop urging the cardinal to resign for the good of the church? The cardinal is being urged to quit before his much-gossiped-about homosexual indiscretions are uncovered by the media . . . WHICH ranking priest of a major diocese predicted over a boozy dinner the other night that if the media outs this particular cardinal, "then the dominoes will really start to fall"?

Remember that old Father Guido Sarducci act on Saturday Night Live? He had this contest called "Find-a da Pope in da pizza." Those were such innocent days.

Gun owners - and other social conservatives - should spend 10% as much time they spend on guessing which cardinal is gay on "outing" the scandals of antigun politicians and other social-liberal politicians: messy divorces, "love children," IRS liens, DUIs, dope/booze rehab, gay affairs.

What the gay cardinal does won't hurt you. What the billionaire antigun nut with five divorces does will.

Scandals of antigun politicians and activists

Its rumored to be Cardinal McCarrick (...inside info--you heard it here first...)

this is scandalous, but it must be pointed out that the reason we have this crisis is homosexual abuse/crime, and the homosexual rot goes to the top of the US hierarchy.

If you think things are bad now, wait till the dominoe effect when McCarrick is finally outed.

This has only been batting practice up till now. The real games are beginning.

Ever notice that once Satan has used his playthings for his desgns and purposes, he destroys them if they remain unrepentant?

Those pushing this agenda in our Church are still unrepentant, yet they do not know that their time of usefulness has ended. Expect greater scandals to come that dwarf anything to date.

Egan's from New York. And, it's Egan. He has a history of staying at 5-Star Hotels when jetting to Europe and being incognito for days at a time.

Also, this $17,000 he gave a priest in Bridgeport to cover personal debts OUT OF HIS OWN POCKET, reeks.

If Bruskewitz knows, why doesn't he out the Cardinal?

Is this just professional courtesy? I doubt Bruskewitz would keep the identity of one of his priests secret if he were an active homosexual.

I got on earful on Bruskewitz from a classmate of mine, an official at the seminary here in Dallas. He's pulling all his guys out of the college seminary here because 1) he didn't like what he heard at the University of Dallas, even though it is one of the most conservative colleges in the United States and is consistently among those recommended by National Review and 2) he was concerned that a Tridentine Mass wasn't offered at the seminary, even though NONE of his seminarians had requested one and the rector told him that there was simply no demand for a Tridentine Mass.

Bruskewitz sounds as if he's trying to shoehorn his seminarians into the FSSP seminary in his diocese.

Does he actively discourage the Novus Ordo?

What a word picture you've painted!
I can just picture these "celibates" sitting aroung, getting sloshed on expensive wine,
talking about how they release their sexual urges, and threatening to "out" the perverts among them.
What a scene from the pit of hell!

Social conservatives going pro-homosexual?
Maybe this is what God has in mind in all this.

Please excuse me for doing a copy and paste, but I think they mirror yours:

I find the unnatural "peaceful coexistance" between vice and that which is virtuous and holy, tragic. The existance of homosexuality in the institution that is the very soul of purity and chastity is deplorable beyond words. Equally deplorable is that this "peaceful coexistance" has lasted for decades due to the unpardonable connivance of shepards who should have been ready to lay down their lives if necessary to keep practicing homosexuals from gaining access to the fold.

The Catechism of St. Pius X calls homosexuality a sin that "cries out to heaven for vengeance," and the Cathechism of the Catholic Church promulgated by our current Pope says that "Basing itself on sacred scripture, which presents homosexual acts as a grave depravity, tradition has always declared that homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."

It should not be considered an ordinary vice because it surpasses most in enormity with few exceptions.

The truth is that the vast majority of the exposed scandals are cases of pedophiliac homosexuality, and thus a particularly heinous spillover of the more widespread problem. However, the media is using this as an excuse to go after the church because of the doctrine and morals upheld by most of the 1 billion members worldwide.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To: ***** Decades ago, Pope Paul VI warned that the 'smoke of satan' had entered the church, and that She was undergoing a mysterious process of self-destruction. Obviously, many Catholics did not take these warnings to heart. But again, I think you should also look to other denominations because everyone seems to becoming anesthetized by indifference and moral and intellectual relativism--which hasn't spared any institution.

It used to be that vocations were sublime and that the atmosphere in church was respectful and prayerful. Not so anymore. And the rules of beauty in church art and architecture have been replaced by sterile 'lecture hall' type buildings. There is no reverence paid to consecrated life anymore and modesty both in public and in church is all but gone.

In fact, everything that elevated souls and filled them with admiration and veneration for 'the spiritual' were targeted. This, in turn, has weakened in consciences the notions of good and evil, sin and grace, vice and virtue. Virtue has been replaced with a pathetic feel-good spirituality so that eventually we reached the point where we are today.

And how do the media [and even some 'catholics'] demand reform? By openly challenging supreme magisterium, demanding that the church abolish clerical celibacy, ordane women, accept divorce, contraception and abortion, and oddly enough, homosexuality. They are pushing for total relativism. I suggest that they are gunning for the entire country, but have targeted Catholics because of the unwaivering moral standard taught in the catechism. If they can get us to break, then the rest of the country is laid bare before them.

Pray hard!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To: ***** I think you should keep in mind that the institutions you hold sacred are under attack, just as mine are--and that the clergy alone isn't responsible, but the laity as well. Matt. 26:41 has pretty much been forgotten, and if our analysis of the current crisis in this country is to be properly analyzed we must acknowledge this.

What we need in this country is a spiritual crusade, with all the dedication, self-sacrifice, and zeal shown by heros of old. The crisis within the Catholic church bears upon the protestants as well because it outlines the opposition which we face as a society, and we're going to have to stand up like Veronica did and be courageous in the face of public ridicule.

Instead of ripping Catholicsm, protestants should step up to the plate, rejecting the comfort zone and the dictates of the human respect. Because you guys are next on their list after us.

I'm a faithful orthodox Catholic. No one wants to see this rot excised from the RCC more than us.

if that means resorting to using the media to help purge the ranks, because its the only effective tool we've been given, so be it.

The reality is worse than the image. Wolves have infiltrated the flock and replaced the shepherds, and are getting away with the spiritual homicide of the souls of the innocent.

Its time for lay Catholics to take off the gloves and use whatever methods are available to excise this cancer. Nothing we do can be any more scandalous than what our "shepherds" have done.

The salvation of souls is not dependant on the Second Amendment. The Grace of God is available to both the free man and the slave.

Do not worry about the billionaire gun controllers who can only enslave your physical body.

Worry about those who rob us not of our guns and possessions but of our only eternal treasure, the immortal souls of our innocent children.

You have not a clue what it means to truly prioritize.
