Join us for a big Friday night Support our Troops Rally followed by a Saturday Tailgate Party and pot-luck at Woodward Park in Fresno on July 12th and 13th. We're hoping that as many of our California FReepers as possible can join us and perhaps some from further away. Come to California, the land of milk & honey and fruits & nuts, rally and party with us, then stay a few days to visit Yosemite or Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks. Bring the whole family.

Speaking of Syncro, where is Syncro? We absolutely must have Syncro and/or Dr. Zoo at our rally and tailgate.

Maybe maybe maybe -- for a belated birthday present from my HunnyButter?! HunnyButter, you listenin'? (He still has not signed up as a FReeper, but I will kick him in the head tonight until he signs up, as we'll be sharing a bed, which is a rarity.) (No -- not cuz of his snoring, although that's a darn good reason! But it's actually cuz of my health crud, and my body thermostat being whacko, and pain keeping me awake, and having a kooky sleep cycle. Not to mention having "creepy legs"/"kicky legs" (aka "restless leg syndrome"). (For those who don't know, I am a MEDICAL NIGHTMARE!!) I have to sleep alone upstairs on the waterbed, and Bob and the babies sleep downstairs all huddled together without me. *sniff*

However, I just endured one major surgery that was necessary because of side effects of my various medical muk; I have to go to NC at some point in time for more MRIs (smile purty!) and Tilt Table Tests (strap me in, stand me up, inject me, watch me fall down go boom) and ultra-thorough neurological exams -- after which, my second brain surgery will be scheduled. (Surgery, I'm guessing, will be in the fall.) So -- I deserve a break in between, eh?? I may have to be in a wheelchair, for at least part of the time, and we may fly, if my neurosurgeon okays it, and I don't know how that works, so. . . . If, if, if, but I really, really wanna! So we shall see!!

I am having to sit still for a bit at the moment, and let my pain meds kick in. I have to see my pain management doctor in Cinti tomorrow (we drive -- actually, BOB drives [*G*] -- from Nashville every three months, and we leave this morning). Babies have to go stay at the vet hotel (they are spoiled there which is good, cuz my "family" will not even help us by keeping my babies while we're in Cinti to see my best doc), and then Bob has to go get our rental car (our vehicles are too old and bumpy and owie for me). We rent an Intrepid every time, which is great, cuz if I had the money, I'd buy us one!! I adore them! (I have been "grounded" from driving by my neurosurgeon. Meanie.) (But I have to be nice to him when I see him next, so I can beg to be able to take a plane to Californ-I-A! If CSF pressure is too high in and around my brain, then no flying. This is not a very fun medical icky to have; I want a different one!)

So -- those of you who pray -- please say a prayer for me and for Bob, for safe trip today, and not too many needles tomorrow, and not too much CSF pressure so I can fly in July?! And for my Basset babies too?! I know; they are in good hands, but I worry. I can't have human babies (my body said "no"), so my Basset babies ARE my babies! Piper and Wilson. Piper was named after a good witch on Charmed on the WB, and Wilson was named after Ronald Wilson Reagan. (He is mighty proud o' that!)

Okay, enough nervous tip-tap-typing!! Time to fight the bathtub and the shower chair and the nozzly-thing, and not enough hot water and all that good stuff! (I am not allowed to bend my neck backwards, which makes for very difficult hair washing, especially since it is growing out and almost down to my tush again!)

Miss me today, okay? I'm taking my lapper, but whether or not I get online in Cinti depends on how crappy I feel after all that sitting. Probably tomorrow?! I'm hoping to have LaRosa's calzones tonight, but it's up to my brand new dentures. They are being ornery. (I didn't order ornery ones; can I get a rebate??) (BTW -- getting my teeth all yanked out was my last major surgery that had to happen because of side effects from other junk. I have ALL the fun!!)

I am gonna be optimistic! Calzones and Skyline Chili -- look out for Beep of FReep! ;-}
