[history]
A 5-year-old Rancho Cordova girl will return to kindergarten at the Capital Christian School after being expelled last week because administrators discovered her mother works as a nude dancer.
Christina Silvas, 24, agreed to stop working at Gold Club Centerfolds off Highway 50 for at least the next three weeks so her daughter can graduate from kindergarten and attend the end-of-the-year pool party she had been looking forward to.

Nice post Polybius....I've been following this asinine situation for a few days now....you are one of the few to recognize that the little girl is what matters most. Who cares what her mothers job involves..this little girl belongs in church, and anyone who things otherwise, is simply wrong...

You see, gossiping must be ok in their congregation. And I am certain the member who found the pictures was rewarded for having to put themselves through that. Remember, this is the same pastor who refused to let the valedictorian speak a few years ago at grad because his hair was too short.

Talking Stripper Mom ©... "Yank her string, you'll be amazed what she says!"
I think that it'll cost you a dollar to yank her string...

I don't claim to follow the Bible to the last little word like they do.
To: weegee
From the money she's pulling in it'll cost you more than a buck.

I'm still amazed at how easily they found all this info. Someone knew what they were doing.

The problem with CPS is the money-grubbing foot-draging lets-turn over-every-rock mentality that seems to happen, when a parent has deep pockets.

I don't claim to follow the Bible to the last little word like they do. Yeah. I figured that out. That might make you a hypocrite. If you don't "claim to follow the Bible," it's a little strange for you to be complaining about someone else's behavior on that score... unless you're just looking to bash Christians.

What is immoral about stripping? It just so happens that I frequent strip-clubs from time to time, and see nothing wrong with at all
It is a decadent and dangerous lifestyle. The entire culture surrounding the strip club, any strip club, is saturated with drugs, violence, crime, and sexual and physical abuse. You, the tipsy customer stuffing bills in the thong of a "future marine biologist" before going home to masturbate, don't see that.

This is a chuch that claims to follow the Bible down to the last little point. Is gossip ok in their copies of the Bible?
I would like to know how these rumors started. Or maybe whomever started them has something to hide as well.
To: Bella_Bru
And I am certain the member who found the pictures was rewarded for having to put themselves through that. Oh yeah, we have a basher.
Whether you agree with this church or this pastor, they are a private organization and entitled to their rules and their standards. Conservatives respect those rights. What about you?
To: Bella_Bru
I would like to know how these rumors started. Why? Is it your business? Other than your desire to gossip about it, I mean.
To: Exigence
Basher? Why? For pointing out the hypocracy of being anti-porn but looking through porn sites?
To: Exigence
The gossip mongerers at the church thought it was their business. It might have been the business of the pastor, but was it the business of the gossipy congregants?

LOL. Slam dunk.

First, I don't know for a fact that our "future marine biologist" may not really BE a future marine biologist. Second, there is no doubt that drug activity takes place in many clubs- a quick reading of the daily newspaper will tell you that. But, if you are going to talk about "sexual abuse" and "violence", you may want to be a tad more specific.

Basher? Why? For pointing out the hypocracy of being anti-porn but looking through porn sites? You have no idea how this info *really* came to light. All you know is someone else's "gossip." You just want to dramatize the whole situtation to feed your gossip frenzy. Some folks are just like that, I guess: drama queens. I think they have doctors for that.

the little girl is what matters most. Who cares what her mothers job involves..this little girl belongs in church, and anyone who things otherwise, is simply wrong
Actually, "her mother's job" matters more than what school she is in. It is the current mentality in our culture that the school, be it private or public, is the place where children learn values and behavior in preparation for adult life, but the reality is children will emulate their parents far more than they will any teacher. It's human nature. Perhaps this religious school understands all their good teaching would be for naught if the girl has a slut for a mother, and maybe trying to use tough love to get this woman on a brighter path was in the best interest of the little girl. And if she chooses to continue to strip, there are plenty of other private schools that will accept her child in our free society. But this denominational school should not be condemned for having standards that both protect and elevate ALL their students and parents.

The gossip mongerers at the church thought it was their business. Oh? You were there? Or, are you just repeating unsubstantiated gossip?
To: over3Owithabrain; redhawk
Actually, "her mother's job" matters more than what school she is in. Amen. The best thing the school could do to help this child was confront the mother on her "profession."
