[history]
A CIA-commissioned report warned the Clinton administration in 1999 that terrorists aligned with Osama bin Laden might hijack commercial jetliners to crash into the Pentagon and government buildings in the nation's capital.
The warning, given to high-ranking administration officials in September 1999, is the first known report to suggest that government sites in Washington were terrorist targets.

Oh gee... Clintong knew and did NOTHING... but call in a fresh "thong snapping" humidor... aka, an intern, of course. Oh... and yes, bury the reports to avoid culpability should an event occur on or near his "watch." Too bad now, we know, HE KNEW and did NOTHING. The arabs offered us pukeface ladin... on a platter, but Clintong said "no thanks."
What a foreign policy failure the Clinton administration was.
Dems of course, will say, "He was distracted by the republicans... how could he even function... it is a wonder he did so good..." The nation KNOWS what clinton did with his time, cigars, female humidors, anal/oral activities and midnight trysts with whoever wanted a job in government. He followed his pelvis to infamy... "not so!" cry the dems!
...but the polls I see tonight indicate that about 90 + percent of the nation SEES this exactly for what it is... political desperation at it's most extreme. These are the type of sounds, a dying political party makes as it cannibalizes its own existance for the sake of TRYING to survive the next election cycle... I can hardly wait.
November cometh.

Clinton's role surely should be investiaged. Amazing how much harm this one person has done for this country and contnues to do even if it is just to deliberately waste taxpayer money.

Hey, at least you say somethings worthy of being repeated. That doesn't happen to me - I am 'profoundless'.....(hey, I made a new word!)

The "he was distracted" argument just doesn't seem to fit well with the "brilliant strategist and extremely intelligent" argument they made about Bill. They can't have it both ways.
I think the dirty little secret is that BILL CLINTON WAS ACTUALLY THE INCOMPETENT, STUPID, DRUGGIE FRAT BOY IN THE WHITEHOUSE. He was easily distracted alright, but not by the R's......

Thanks for your two cents on the "Cynthia McKinney Effect"! Is there a picture of Hillary on the senate floor holding the "Bush Knew" headline ? Wouldn't this finally get through to the masses ? Couldn't this be a huge political miscalculation for her ?

According to the report, intelligence experts believed that suicide bombers belonging to a "martyrdom battalion" of bin Laden's al Qaeda network might crash aircraft into various government buildings. The analysts suggested that the attacks could come as possible retribution for air strikes ordered by President Clinton in 1998 against bin Laden's terrorist camps in Afghanistan.
Clinton didn't do anything then, and he didn't do anything after Bin Laden's involvement in the first WTC bombing, the bombing of the USS Cole and our embassies in Africa. He had the opportunity to get him but he refused to do so.

Makes you wonder how many Rats in Congress saw that report and buried it to protect their head Rat, the Clintoon.
