I have to say I'm a little angry today.
Many months after 9-11, the media suddenly want to hold President Bush accountable for what took place.
They are even invoking Watergate and the mantra of cover-up: "What did the president know and when did he know it?
Don't get me wrong. I believe this president and every president should be held accountable to the American people for all the things that happen under his watch.
But I also believe the media should have demanded accountability immediately after 9-11.
In fact, they have yet to do so.
Since 9-11, congressional investigations have begun, but little has come of them so far.
It took five months five months before CIA Director George Tenet was brought before the Congress to testify.
He boldly told Congress there was nothing that could have been done to prevent the September tragedy.
The truth is evident for anyone with a brain: Nothing could have been done because of the catastrophic failure of our intelligence agencies, particularly the CIA and the FBI.
Immediately after 9-11, NewsMax revealed we were the first that during the Clinton years the CIA had stopped recruiting spies within the terrorist networks.
The media have gone to great lengths to avoid the story.
To date, they have yet to question, seriously and vigorously, Bill and Hillary Clinton for their actions in their eight years in the White House.
In President Bush's defense, he had arrived at the White House just months before 9-11.
But the media have not asked the Clintons, under whose watch the attacks were planned, why they failed us.
In this new era of Clintonian politics (and the Clintons still dominate the political scene), there is no accountability, especially if it involves Democrats.
Obviously, this is an election year, and the Democrats want to score as many points as possible against a very popular president.
Here we are witnessing the difference between the Republicans and the Democrats. Given the opportunity, the Democrats will always go for the jugular, while the Republicans will always try to take the high road.
It's not difficult to understand, then, why the Republicans are usually on the losing side.
The Democrats also have a very powerful ally in the establishment media, which always back them up.
The Roper Study found that 89 percent of the Washington press corps voted for Bill Clinton. Presumably, they would like to see Hillary in the White House as well.
The serious issue is not what the president knew and when he knew it.
The real question is why the American media gave Bill Clinton a free ride for eight years while he plundered national treasures such as the Lincoln Bedroom, politicized the FBI, gave away our nuclear and ballistic secrets to China, led the most corrupt administration in history and yet and yet and yet, the liberal media have never viewed any of this as important.
Americans saw the results of the media's blatant failure to perform their job on 9-11.
I'm afraid that unless we take substantial action and find out who really was responsible for not preventing Sept. 11, future tragic events, more sensational than we have ever seen, will happen again. And this time we might not be so lucky.
You too are sidestepping the issue. I am appalled, as is TNA, that our government willfully did not do anything to stop these terrorists. All the article I posted reveals the inconsistencies in what is being portrayed and what the evidence is saying. My opposition to Bush however does not warrant the term CINO, just looking past the lies being claimed.
I am very much a conservative. I hold tightly to the principles this nation was founded upon. I support our nation's three holiest documents: The Bible, The Declaration of Independence, and The Constitution. I can tell you that many of Bush's policies violate the Constitution. I don't bow my knee to any entity which compromises the sovereignty of this nation.
The Insiders are hoping that you will do nothing. But true Americans everywhere are asking for and counting on your help. The best kind of help you can give is active support for and membership in the John Birch Society.
Look you are in way over your head on this forum. I would advise you to get better at trolling before you post again .
I can continue with the vast resources needed to pull such a horrendous act off. How can such an attack be done without our government's knowing about it.
Finally, Mr. American Taliban himself, John Walker Lindh, who somehow was able to meet Mr. Osama on one occasion, and yet our intelligence, which is supposed to be more thoroughly trained in infiltrating terrorist groups, have yet to find him.
What are you trying to prove? What you are trying to do is discredit my source on this issue, and make it look as though our government had no knowledge of the attack, diverting all attention away from the government, and focusing it on frivolous charges that have absolutely nothing to do with the subject.
I thought the rule on this forum is to stick to the topic of which you are a part of.
Hey dummy so did every freeper on this site. Hell Bin Laden was fingered before the second tower was hit. Give it the hell up.
I will try to explain this so even a genius like you can understand it. Every governmental agency in the nation and all of us knows that there will be an earthquake somewhere in this country at some point. However; no one can tell you when, where or of what magnitude. Now, they have "evidence" out the wazzoo that, in hindsight, predicted it however; it happened anyway and only general warnings were given and the actual, time, magnitude and damage was greeted with complete surprise.. Now, genius, does that make things a bit more clear OR are earthquakes allowed by the NOW to institute world government?
I don't know what brought you here ; however , you aren't setting off on the right foot.
As to RR, you evidently have a blanked out memory, about him. Yes, he was a great president. President Bush the youngr is in RR's mold . Neither men; however are GOD, seers , nor magicians. And you are pathetically parrotting the Dem's spin. Shill are ya ,dear ?
Now, it would not take a trained intelligence agent to realize the potential for danger in 100's of middle eastern men coming to this country to take flying lessons. This should have sent up a warning flag long ago. And they are still letting them come.
I am not buying that Bush knew about it - but HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT IT. If our intelligence community cannot even keep tabs on activities such as these - we are in really big trouble.
We cannot afford these mistakes.
Ruddy is lying here, and he knows it. The FBI,CIA,and other intelligence agencies didn't "fail",they did what they were ordered to do by their political masters in the White House. This is what they are supposed to do. It's the way the system is set up,and Ruddy KNOWS this.
Immediately after 9-11, NewsMax revealed we were the first that during the Clinton years the CIA had stopped recruiting spies within the terrorist networks.
And I guess because of this idiot Ruddy,we are supposed to believe the directors of these agencies turned money back in rather than use it to hire new employees or pay for information. We all KNOW that all of these bureaucracies HATE to build their empires up,and how they are so grateful when their budgets are cut.
Simple. He was in high school and still living with his parents when he first started developing and pursueing a interest in Islam, and he went to local Mosques to learn. It was easy for them to check his bonifides, and verify he wasn't a intelligence agent. There are very few teen professional intelligence agents still living at home with their parents.
Let's also not forget that it takes literally YEARS to reach the point of trust Walker had reached, and he started long before Bubba Bush took office.
The appearance of the word religion was explained in a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to a small Baptist church in the terms that our governemt would never have the right to outlaw Christianity. As he put it, there needed to be a wall of separation between church and state. This did not mean that religion, in this case Christianity, could not affect the decisions of our government, but that government could never take away one's right to worship.
Your "knowledge" of history, coupled with your lashing out at me in an unprovoked manner has proven that I cannot hold an enlightened discussion with you. You do not stick to the topic, you try to discredit my research into the subject, and you have not said one thing of any significant importance in relation to this topic.
As a conservative, I conduct myself with dignity, and would not so much as dare lash out at an "opponent" in the manor of which you have.
Good night. I will not be posting to you until your attitude changes, and we can have a discussion related to the topic.
Our government has been known to do such sneaky, underhanded things in the past. Why should we think this time is any different?
You recognize the fact that our government knew what was going to happen, just not when or where. Why not use what little knowledge that they are said to have had, and launch a preemptive strike to avoid what would be called 9/11?
Just because a Republican is in office does not mean we have the right as concerned citizens to overlook these inconsistencies.
Don't kid yourself. There are two things that scare the hell out of Bubba Bush, other than Bubbette! Clinton, that is. One is a live bin Laden giving press conferences, and the other is even scarier,a dead bin Laden. The first makes Bubba-2 and the US look impotent, and the second puts him out of the "war on terrorism" business.
Why was the rivalry between the FBI and CIA allowed to develop? Why was there no shared intelligence data base developed? Why were the recommendations to tighten up airline security discarded?
Lots of serious questions that need serious answers.
I agree with your comments.
