This story appeared just over two months ago in The New American, and for the first time we are hearing on a wide scale that our government may have had prior knowledge to the coming events of that horrendous day.

Thanks for the welcome. I hope to have some enlightened discussion here. I've heard enough liberal junk, and now it's time for some truth.

The very worst thing about Bush is that he seems to think that Islam has not declared war on the USA, and he does not acknowledge the enemy. So if he does not even know who the enemy is, how can he fight it? The answer is, that he can't. He is too ignorant about Islam to defend the USA. As long as the Muslims were over in Saudi Arabia chopping off hands and feet, it was okay with us, but now they are over here in the USA, and we are not dealing with our problem at all.

Clinton certainly worsened the problem, but I believe our trouble started when we became the world's policeman.

Think about it. Our Founding Father's originally came over here to escape religious persecution. And while escaping that, we they developed a culture different from the rest of the world. In several of George Washington's speeches, he insisted that America should be kept politically separate from the rest of the world. Up until the Spanish-American War, and even the annexation of Hawaii, we kept to that philosophy.

But since we have now become a nation full of politicians with a globalist outlook, we find ourselves solving every little problem that has no direct bearing on us, and that has in fact caused the world to hate us.

I knew in my heart when those cruise missiles started flying on Bagdhad (sp?) that we were going to get it back in spades. We enraged the entire Arab world.

Both the Republicans and Democrats have gotten us into this mess and I doubt either has what it takes to get us out of it. It is going to build and build until it reaches a flash point. Even when we are in the right, they resent us because of our military power.

It's all Henry Ford's fault.

Welcome, and BYOTF [Bring Your Own Tin Foil]

It can get pretty bizarre on some threads, but it is always enlightening. Be prepared to be inundated with more news and information that you will find anywhere else.

I have many reservations about Bush. One minute, he says the right thing. In his speech to the volunteers at ground zero, he stated that the people who knocked down these buildings would soon be hearing us, and that capturing or even killing bin Laden was a top prioroty.

However, in a speech given in January, capturing or killing bin Laden was no longer "top priority." I have to say we have done well in rounding up much of the Taliban, but the borders over there are still open. We hear that Osama may be in Pakistan one minute, or may have gone back to Afghanistan the next minute.

If we are going to fight an enemy, we need to have clear cut objectives and reasonable objectives. Declaring war on terrorism everywhere is neither of these.

The New American has always provided me with a wealth of information, and they don't candy coat it. But as I am sure to find out, there will be people here who will add greatly to the search of truth in our society. Thankyou for the welcome.

There were certain politicians even in Washington's day that declared they wanted to see America take a more active role in foreign affairs. These politicians were silenced however by not only Washington and his immediate successors, but by the public itself.

However bleak the situation may get, we still have the right to be heard, and be heard we must before that right is taken away.

Our people, for the foreseeable future, the ordinary ones who don't travel with planeloads of bodyguards, will never be able to travel safely in many countries again, thanks to the terrorists.

Yes, you are right. One mistake piled on top of another and another. We should not be dependent on mideast oil!!! I don't want to buy any more from them. This didn't have to happen! And still we can't drill in Alaska!
