This is a special double-edition daily dose due to FR being down yesterday...
President Bush and his administration were in the defensive today as Democrats and the media swarmed around revelations that the President was given a general warning about possible hijackings before September 11th. It was revealed later in the day that the very same Democrats leading the negative charge, Tom Daschle and Dick Gephardt, also knew of the briefings yet failed to let the media know. By the end of the day, it was the Republicans in Congress leading the charge and taking the Democrats to task for their usual games of partisan slander.
This afternoon, in a move to give the public more knowledge on the exact nature of the briefings, National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice confronted the media with detailed national security intelligence in the months leading up to September 11th. It was made clear that the intelligence briefings given to the President were not specific or detailed enough to prevent the suicide bomber attacks.
In much lighter news, the President began the day at the First Annual National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast. Later he presented the Congressional Gold Medal to President Ronald Reagan and his wife, Nancy.

I don't know about where the book is supposed to go. Let's see if anyone pipes up about it, otherwise you can send it on up to GretchenEE!
This is so confusing and with that, I'm off to bed. Extra prayers for W tonight!

What building will the convention be held in?

Humility comes from knowing there is a higher power. Power-packed, succinct truth.

the plot to destroy so many aircraft, originating out of the Philipines, evolved from a previous hijacking in France where authorities managed to divert a hijacked aircraft to a sparse airfield south of Paris approx 500 miles, under the guise of refueling, thus saving passengers and crew
I am not sure if the a/c was destroyed or not ?
To: GretchenEE
It is at the Bellevue Hyatt and the Bellevue Community College. The committee and social functions occur at the Bellevue Hyatt and the convention is at the BCC, in the gym. This all according to my registration materials.

the terrorist entering Wash. state was thought to be targeting the Space Needle...an accomplice was caught crossing over from Canada into Maine or Vermont or New Hampshire ? Los Angeles airport was thought to be the actual target (discovered during interrogation of the suspect/s)

What time are you departing for home on the 29th? Saturday would be the far better day for me, if it works for you. I would be happy to keep the meeting short so it doesn't detain you on your journey home.

Sweet dreams, yourself, you gleeful little Troll! Gleeful little troll? Well thanks, maybe, but I don't lean that way.

Wouldn't THAT be KEWL!!!!!! Our beloved President with us in Washington, THE STATE!!!! Let's pray it happens!!!
To: Mo1
I missed it. Lott has seemed so soft and so very very careful, too careful, when choosing his words, and so hesitant to call a spade a spade, that I find it hard to believe he really did well. But I know a lot of folks are saying this, so it must be true.
To: Wphile
Hmmmm....I haven't received any of those "registration" materials yet - when did you receive them? (For state convention, obviously.)

If you put a comma after Duck, then it becomes a warning to the Femocrats. A good warning. Because they'll need that warning this autumn when the brown smelly stuff hits the oscillary rotator.
To: GretchenEE
"when the brown smelly stuff hits the oscillary rotator." LOL......That's VERY good....very good indeed.
NIGHT all.....
