There was a report on Brit Hume's Special Report program detailing Democratic accusations of Bush Administration midhandlement of the situation prior to 9/11, after the report mentioned yesterday. They had clips of Gephardt and Daschle's response to it, but then said that later in the day, Bob Graham and Joe Lieberman had moved away from accusations of mishandlement.

I don't think the same standard should be applied to the President and Congress. One is in the executive branch and should do something. The other is the legislative branch - it's not clear that new law was called for.

>>They're just slipping away and melting into the crowd after dropping the turd in the punchbowl<<....this is an old trick used by Dems and Repubs alike. Ain't politics great?

If there's no GOP candidate for a given office, I'll write in myself.
Vote Green Party, it'll encourage them to run again.

The mainstream media has much to fear, and it's not just declining market share- their power, influence, and control are slipping, too.
In 1999, our "personal economy" took a turn for the worse and to economize, we let all our subscriptions drop. My wife's Mom, good soul that she is, dutifully saved her papers and gave them to us once a week- and you know what?
We found ourselves reading them less & less, to the point that now we thank her, take them, and they go straight into the trash when we get home.
They all read the same- same talking points, same "hot button 'issues,'" same old stuff. All the wire services repeat the same old stories, and they are terribly out-of-date compared to the 'net.
Even if the news agencies could get up to 'net speed, they lack the other vital characteristic of forums- interactivity. Free Republic is "a paper I can talk back to..."

One day shelf life indeed. Silly, silly demorcrats. Why don't they grow up and do what is right for the country instead of participating in these senseless and grasping at straws attacks. Face it Dems...you lost...Bush won. I am sad for you. You really are a pitiful bunch of losers. Sorry for being so brunt but...someone has to! Get a life. There is no way our President Bush would have not protected the American people to the hilt. You are pretty sad because this is all you have to go against President Bush. God bless our President while we heap shame on you. You are desperate and I wonder if you really know how sad, pitiful and vengeful you look in the eyes of the American people. You are disgusting and have shown your true loser colors.

The great thing is that as the Demorats strive to present themselves as "centrist" they run more of the looney left to the Green Party. Adding to one side of the party while losing on the other end.
In 2000 they tried alternately to convince left coast leftists that their party had met the minimum vote requirement to meet matching funds in the next cycle and that they wouldn't get the matching funds so the least that they could do would be to keep Bush out of office.
By hook or by crook they want to get every vote.

Just when I think I can't be more disgusted with the Democrats, they manage to top their last sleazy routine. They are so morally bankrupt they automatically assume other people operate from the same ethics challenged center they do. It is so typical of Daschle/Gephardt to call a press conference, deliberately drop plenty of innuendo, then retreat to let the media fan the flames. We can bet they won't have a press conference announcing they were wrong.

You hit it exactly my FRiend. Wimpy demoncrats don't know how to deal with a man in in a man's world. Bush rules, just as much as little dick gephardt an tommy dashole are fools!

You're the first on this thread. But I claim moose, cheese and tinfoil hat rights...after I get out of the shower.

I was slumming on DU -- they're accusing the Administration of leaking out dribs and drabs of the "scandal" in order to exhaust public attention and turn it into "old news". Does that strategy sound familiar? LOL!

Yep. I'm just hoping they do enough "crooking" to turn off their base and move "Reagan Democrats" to the GOP.

PART OF ME SAYS, let em try.
They have no clue how much prayer support this President has.
They have no clue how VULNERABLE, IDIOTIC AND TRAITOROUS BILLDO AND SHRILLERY, DASHOLE ET AL WILL TURN OUT TO BE ON SUCH SCORES. Let em open THEIR pandora's box. FREEPERS are well able to fan their feeble stick-rubbing heat into a forest fire of their own forest.,
I wonder, Alamo-Girl,
what would it cost
to put the BILLDO & SHRILLERY'S DOWNSIDE LEGACY CD's
into every newspaper editor's
and every pastor's hands in the U.S.?
Perhaps add every Republican precinct head?
Perhaps add every military unit-level Command?
PERHAPS IT WOULD BE STRATEGICALLY WISE
TO START WITH EVERY HOME IN SOUTH DAKOTA--AT LEAST
EVERY DEMOCRATIC HOME!
AND DITTO for all the other mindless Dumocrat Congressional leaders' home States
I suspect that would be a fund-raiser worth doing!
I'm not sure of the legalities but it seems worth checking into. BLESS ALL YOUR PERSISTENTLY FAITHFUL EFFORTS ANGEL-GAL!

I emailed the RNC asking about how to get one. I actually recall getting the 'invite' to the President's Dinner but I didn't go. A bit too spendy for me. Anyway, the RNC emailed the numbers and address back to me. Like I said, hope sales go through the roof!
