Oh, come on. She looks like Bugs Bunny! Last time I saw a mouth like that, it had a hook in it.
. . . resisting temptation to reference Ms. Silvas' "mouth" in my reply . . . Can't help you there, man. I think she's pretty damn good lookin'. Nice prow, too.

Once the media was involved, there was NO WAY the school was going to handle this situation "WELL". There are just way too many Monday morning quarterbacks deciding just what the school should have done.
My two cents: The school tried to do the right thing. I doubt if anybody here could do better (and not be criticized for it).

Ah. A single woman providing for her child so well that she's able to ensure that child gets a good, Christian education isn't good enough to be one of your heroes. Interesting set of heroes you must have.

Funny, I see her with a hook in it, and you see her with----LOL!

TOTALLY. I'm typically a big fan of the latina/mediterraneo look, but I dig Christina's looks too.

"Providing" for her child. I see what you call "providing" as exposing the the child to serious risks, the worse kind of a carelessness and recklessness than would be feeding her kid a steady diet of soda and doritos and naught else.

Huh? How does NAMBLA even come into this? We're talking about a single woman. In a legal profession, supporting her child!
Is it really so hard to stay on topic?

i find it absolutely ridiculous that you would chalk this up to jealous mothers. that is such a load of crap! like one has to be a dog to disapprove of this!

It is a private school that is allowed and expected to set its own rules.Slightly off topic, but in response to your post I'd point out that "private schools" are not allowed to set their own rules. Only some of them.
What's the problem?
My above statement is the problem.
To: Lord_Baltar
it's called taking it to an extreme, dear. if the school is prohibited from considering this woman's profession/predelictions, then how far do they have to go in overlooking the sins of the mothers/fathers?

Oh, Really. Well then I guess you're right.
Here, you go ahead and throw the first stone at her.
To: xsmommy
From the Sacramento Bee story, we have close to a smoking gun:
"Silvas, who is single, said school administrators telephoned her last week and told her that in response to persistent rumors, a parent went to the strip club's Web site, downloaded pictures of Silvas and brought them to school staff. Silvas told them she does dance at the all-nude bar, which doesn't serve alcohol, and subsequently met with Cole."
BTW, I didn't mean to imply that frauism was predicated by ugliness. My ex-wife, a very, very pretty woman, was the biggest back-stabbing cat/hen on the planet. Same with her sister, another pretty woman. It's a personality flaw completely independent of looks.

hahahahaha Yeah, but do we dare to venture a guess that the Female Stone throwers might even have some difficulty getting their own husbands to pay to watch them "Take it Off?

like one has to be a dog to disapprove of this! Not necessarily a dog...just bitchy.

If I had bigger ta-tas, I'd have stripped my way through college.....

Cole explained that recently school officials had become aware that the mother in question works as a part-time strip-teaser dancer at a local club. Since her occupation is in violation of an agreement with and commitment to the school philosophy that parents must sign before the children are admitted to school, school officials, including Cole met the mother. She signed the agreement and began stripping after, in violation of whatever she signed (if she wasn't already stripping.)
