By definition? Yes. This is a private school. Say what you will, but as a private school, that does not receive public funds, they have that right, as long as their rules do not impinge on civil rights.

Last I checked, you do not have a right to be a stripper or a lawyer.

if i were the headmaster of this school, i would have offered the woman a job at the school as well as free tuition. at my kids school, stay at home moms are always easing their way back into the workforce with jobs as aides, some of them go back to school for teaching degrees etc. They work in the office, some moms work as the school nurses.

as to me quitting a highpaying job for my PRIDE, pride is not at issue here. I would never have engaged in stripping as a living (and not because of my looks either, by the way). i would work as a cleaning lady cleaning toilets, and maybe several shifts per day, so that i could send my kids to school somewhere that would reinforce my values, and it is MY VALUES not my PRIDE that would have me NOT STRIPPING for a living.

Did you read the story? Momma decided that she wanted the media attention and the money from stripping more than she wanted a relationship with Jesus Christ. There are plenty of hypocrites to go around, but the school did very well in representing Jesus.

May be, but from what I've tasted of desire, I hold with those who favor fire. AND, I think I know enough of hate to know that for destruction, ice is also great and would suffice. In other words, I think his theory is probably correct---flappin' gums, yakkin' hens. Either that, or some other "good christian" swingin' dick got himself an eyefull of Strippy one good christian day (over a few good christian amber-colored adult beverages, of course), saw Strippy at a PTA meeting, and lowered the boom.

The school is well within its rights as it is a private institution. It can accept and reject as it pleases. I just don't think they handled this well at all.

The mom had a t.v. crew go a film her stripping. I don't think she wants anything to blow over. She had her little girl right next to her when she was talking about how they should'nt kick her daughter out just because the mom strips part time for a living. Such a good mom, certainly looking out for the interests of her daughter, NOT!.

well given the details others are posting, such as strippymom's inviting a tv crew along,etc. Doesn't sound like strippy had too much problem with anyone knowing her profession. There is nothing to say that she wasn't out in the open on her own about this.
