Homosexual groups are condemning Roman Catholic Church leaders for blaming the recent accusations of child sexual abuse on homosexuals in the priesthood.
The groups

One can only hope.
Homosexuality means having and seeking sexual contacts with members of the same gender.
Priests such as the Shanley fellow are openly gay.
And the talking heads and activists are still trying to convince the rest of us that homosexuality had nothing to do with what has happened in the Catholic church.
What am I missing in this convoluted "logic"?
And when it comes to numbers, actual number wise, I've read that there are more heterosexual child abuse cases; but when it comes to percentage of the population (homosexual or heterosexual) homosexual abuse is greater than heterosexual.
I don't recall reading of any abuse cases involving priests and underage girls, although there may be some. All cases I'm familiar with involve underage boys. Has any Freeper kept a scorecard on priests; homosexual pedophiles vs heterosexual pedophiles?
It looks like the above groups are the people guilty of taking "the focus off finding solutions to the problem." In prestidigitation, it's called misdirection.
I heard Ray Flynn on FOX say that it's OK for a priest to be gay as long as the priest is not having gay sex - he still can be a good priest said Ray...
well I almost choked when he said that, and then all at once it was clear why the catholic church has this problem - Ray Flynn and other policy makers do not really understand the bible - they are more concerned with the public perspective...
the bible does not tolerate homosexual activity or thoughts for that matter so how can a priest be gay and believe in Jesus?!...
The catholic church is not the only church with this kind of problem, and I am glad that this is coming to the attention of the faithful...
we must get this out of the church...
God works in mysterious ways...
What are they doing with goats?
Perhaps that is because homosexual researchers don't classify their sexual contact with minors as "abuse." The stories spilling out of the Church are showing a shocking correlation between homosexual priests and sex with minors compared to those of heterosexual tendency.
2. I don't get it when they talk about celibate homo priests. Hell, if they don't engage in sexual acts they aren't homos.
It also says that it is a sin for a heterosexual priest to be sexually active. That's what celibacy means.
"Dignity" is an activist, act-up, act-out queer group. On the other hand, the Church has a ministry to homosexuals that emphasizes chastity. It is called "Courage."
This is why they are wrong.
They inject a purple triangle into the cross that Jesus died on, to use as a symbol for themselves. Christ died so sins could be paid, so people would not have to face judgement for the penalty of sin. They mock this. Using that cross for a symbol implies the Body of Christ--but that also means repentance---or "turning around."
These people do not wish to repent, they want to be congratulated for their sins.
That cross is about the suffering of the Son of Man. But they make it into "It's all about ME!" Well, it isn't all about them.
God told us to choose this day who you will serve. If they wish to ignore His promises, that is their misfortune. But, don't take the innocent down to hell with you. Leave the children alone. Stop teaching "tolerance" and "diversity" in the classrooms. Stop treating innocence like a disease to be crushed with your videos on "fisting" or "how to lick a condom."
Their strategy is to be a VICTIM. But they are not victims, are they? No, they are predators..............................................................................................
and THAT is what they don't want anyone to find out.

Anyone remember watching C-SPAN in April of 1993 when they carried the Gay March on Washington? Here is the list of 10 Platform demands they were seeking at the time:
1.) Elimination of all laws prohibiting sodomy, transgendered expression (cross-dressing) and sado-masochism.
2.) Lower the age-of-consent for homosexual and heterosexual sex.
3.) Implementation of homosexual, bisexual and transgendered curriculum at all levels of education.
4.)Legalization of homosexual marriages.
5.) Custody, adoption and foster care rights for homosexual, lesbians and transgendered people; re-definition of family to include the full diversity of all family structures.
6.) Access to all programs of the Boy Scouts of America.
7.) Affirmative action for homosexuals and lesbians.
8.) Inclusion of sex-change operations under a universal health care plan.
those remarks create misunderstandings of what it is these groups desire to be "understood" which is to say the remarks are more an approximation of reality which is not what the remarks should be understood as presenting.
What you don't understand is that the organized homosexuals a\claim the right to define "homosexual" and have defined out such individuals as Mr. Shanley. Recent statements are to the effect that heteros, when deprived of sex (celibacy) just naturally gravitate toward little boys and not so little boys, possibly because their vows (as heterosexuals) prohibit them from consorting with the opposite sex. There was something posted indicating that point of view a couple of days ago but I can't locate it.
How unenlightened you are. According to some posters to this forum who will remain nameless, the reason there is a shortage of priests is that the Pope, over whose passing they are impatiently salivating, won't allow married men to be ordained. Those of us too reactionary to know better think it is the liberal, secular nature of too many seminaries, who, in the "Spirit of Vatican II" weed out the narrow-minded, non-inclusive, pietist, rubricists who insist on remaining obedient to Rome. But what do we know.
Nope.
There has always been a shortage of priests, it just happens to be more acute now than in the past.
Allowing married priests may or may not help relieve the current shortage.
One thing it would do, however, is raise the number of mature heterosexuals in the priesthood.
Your libel about the Pope isn't even worth replying to.
