President Bush began his day by honoring Milton Friedman for lifetime achievements. Later in the day, the President spoke to reporters regarding the judicial crisis in Washington, and once again urged the Senate to act. Bush also said that he is pleased that the economy is showing signs of growing, but is concerned that it is not growing fast enough. The White House also released a statement that it was pleased that the S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has unanimously affirmed the administration's position that Peter Kirsanow is a member of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Tell me I'm not seeing things. In the first of the three pictures of Dubya and Simon, Dubya is wearing a red tie. In the second two, his tie is blue.

Hey, don't you think those Checheyan guys made a BIG mistake? Plus they killed little kids. I saw that Putin (Ilya) said that they were SCUM!
You are right. He is not amused. Smackdown, big time.

er...that's Senator Stevens. And, by the way, it looks as though he's yelling at Dubya, and Dubya loves it.

Miss Marple,
That is how the first Liberal moron judge should have ruled. Bush should not have had to file an appeal. Don't you get sick of Democrats who think they don't have to play by the rules.

Big win today over the Civil Rights Commission seat! Bitch out and nice guy in.
And that's why they are blocking the President's judicial nominees.

Thanks for the Dose! Big win today over the Civil Rights Commission seat! Yay!! I bet Ms. Berry will still refuse to seat Bush's appointment until the case has worked it's way up to the Supreme Court.
To: I_be_tc
Ufortunely the old bag, Berry had already said they would file an appeal if they lost. So on to the next court. Although this is one that should be upheld. No way we should have lost in the first place.

Yes, but we know it was a liberal moron judge, APPOINTED BY CLINTON. Personally, I don't think he appointed anyone who wasn't a total moron or a card carrying communist.
THIS is why we MUST win the Senate! JUDGES!!
To: Miss Marple
I don't think it would be fun to be on the receiving end of a Putin Smackdown!!!

Yes, win the Senate for Judges, but also so Little Tommy's lying, whining, obstructing career as Majority Leader bites the dust.

Congressman Billybob wrote about this today. If they don't get the appeal filed by May 17, they have to seat Kirnow or be in contempt of court. Also, because of the way it is written, he is considered on the commission as of December 6, which means that he gets paid from that date, and Wilson has to give her money back! Ha!
Congressman Billybob, who has litigated this type of thing before, said that the appeal would not be too long in coming, because of this contempt thing. Therefore they cannot stall, as they no doubt were planning to do. He also felt that when the appeal hits, it will be denied really quickly.
