Among my many achievements, I'm the author of what now has officially been dubbed "the Limbaugh Doctrine." This doctrine - that you get peace through victory, not negotiations, clean water and pieces of paper - was too hot to handle when I first wrote it as an essay.
Yet in the months since I published my thoughts on Pearl Harbor Day 2001, pundits and politicians have admitted what I so wisely articulated. We have linked to many of these articles and sound bites at the bottom of this page. On Tuesday night, the Limbaugh Doctrine was invoked by no less than Ariel Sharon - this prior to his leaving the United States for Israel after the latest in a very predictable series of homicide bombings.

Shortly after September 12, conviction got run over by realpolitik, with Colin Powell and the State Department behind the wheel.
Maybe conviction will recover, maybe not.
Be sure to ping me when Rush gets to his "Napolean" stage. It looks like he's well on the way.

Do you have any proof to dispute this statement? Or do you not understand the simple words that Rush used while making this true statement?
It sounds like you just hate when Rush is right.
The fact is, GWB is a good man. A man who is conservative. A man who has many (many) of the right ideas on which way our Country needs to be lead. He is leading us that way. But in some cases (like education) he is using a U-turn type strategy. You can't just reverse course over-night. You have to change course over a wide U-turn in some cases. That is what GWB is doing. So many of my fellow Conservatives on here seem so weak kneed I would dare to say I would not want your support in challenging parts of life because you don't trust and you don't have faith. You want and want and cry when every single instance doesn't go your way. Come on, lets rock up and kick in.
We have a very good man in office right now. He is dealing with a number of huge issues. He has the right people around him. They are making long term decisions. Not quick battle victories only to lose the full war. Bush wants to win the political war, not quick political victories.
Bush not only needs to deal with being President for the next 6 years but he is also making up for America not having a real President for the past 8 years before him.
GWB has passed tax cuts (how easily many of you act like that is no big deal) GWB is going to pass more tax cuts. Further reductions in income taxes along with capital gains taxes will be lowered before GWB leaves office. These are facts. GWB is going to push for these reductions. We all should want that. GWB is finding a smart balance between business and the environment for the GOP for years to come. GWB is going to appoint the right judges and he is putting the right people in behind the scenes when it comes to monetary policy. GWB is going to move education in the right direction. Was 11 % increase in spending too much? Hell, yes it was. But, mark my words; GWB will have spending going in the down direction when he leaves office. And the GOP will be sitting better for it with the American Public.
For all you who act like only principle matters, grow up. Their is nothing (NOTHING) of value in losing on principle. Bush has to deal with a left wing media that has tremendous influence. They have tremendous influence with an apathetic public that votes today. A public who doesnt seem to care enough to get the facts on many issues and whos only source of information mainly comes from how the media spin/lie to them.
But you know what, BUSH isn't crying every day about it like 80% of the other conservatives. He is actually learning how to out flank them, he is adapting to them. Like us in business learn to do on a daily basis. We don't cry, we work within the structures of the day and we achieve.
GWB is doing a great job. Period.

No, just one of the free, democratic nations of the world.
And a nation subjected to atrocities against it's people from the earliest time of their existence. And since 1948, surrounded by those who call for it's obliteration.
How true! He is doing a great job!
