"I won't say nothing, phone my lawyer"
Reformatisch Dagblad

By Jan van Klinken, AMSTERDAM - Volkert van der G., the 32 year old man from Harderwijk that is the suspect in the Pim Fortuyn killing, is part of a wide spread netwerk of actiongroups. In that world the panic increased lately. The incredible victory that List Pim Fortuyn was heading to, was a nightmare for the (ultra)left actionnetwork.

"I won't say anything, phone my lawyer mr. Bakker Schut." Was the only thing that Volkert van der G. would say to the police after he was arrested six minutes after the murder of Fortuyn.

When investigator Peter Siebelt, one of the few experts on Dutch actiongroups, heard this, he knew enough: "It is a well know strategy that since year and day is being used by left activists when they are arrested: giving no statement and only asking for their lawyer", he explains. During the fights at the Eurotop in Amsterdam in 1998 the rioters even got the written instructions to exacly do that.

Also the name of the lawyer said enough. Mr. P.H. Bakker Schut is known to be the lawyer for squatters and activists. He defended, amongst others, members of the terrorist group RAF and members of the violent actiongroup RaRa (both extreme left terrorist groups). Bakker Schut declined the request of Volkert van der G. to defend him.

The second name that Volkert van der G. had on his list, was that of mr. Britta Bohler. She accepted to be his lawyer. She is part of the same circuit that Bakker Schut belongs to. She used to be a sympatizer of the RAF: "Heroes"' she refered to the known RAF-members Meinhof and Esslin last year in an interview with De Volkskrant. She is from Germany. She later fled to the Netherlands where she studied Law and became a lawyer. Bohler was councellor of Ocalan, leader of the Kurdish terrorist organization, after he fled to the Netherlands.

Volkert van der G. is co-founder of the Foundation Milieu-Offensief (VMO, Enviroment Offensive) in Wageningen. He is also secretary/treasurer of the organization. He works for them since 1994.

Milieu-Offensief is a small bureau that filed hondered of procedures against farmers that wanted to expand. They claim to win three out of four procedures.

Volkert van der G. became member of the anti-vivisectionactiongroup when he was a student. He attended enviromental studies in Wageningen. He became a veganist. Veganists are agianst the consumption of all animal products. Also he worked for the Foundation 'Lekker Dier' (lovely animal) and he was involved in several actions.

About his work at Milieu-Offensief he reports on the internet: "I not only act because of the love of animals, I got a basevalue: it is not permissible what happens to animals." And: "Protecting animals is to civilize humans, some say." Lately he complained about being stressed.

Milieu-Offensief was funded with 300.000 gulden (about 125.000 dollar) by the foundation Doen (means do/act), that gave money from the Postcode Lotery to charitable institutions.

The founders of the Postcode Lotery belong to the left actionworld. Member of the Second Chamber (highest government body) Stellingwerf of the ChristenUnion asked in 1998 questions to the Chamber about the chantage practices of VMO (Milieu-Offensive). Employees would agree with farmers not to start a procedure if they would limit acuiring ammoniac rights. The investigation of minister Pronk of VROM (ministry of enviroment) did not lead to much.

This is not suprising to investigator Siebelt. "Pronk sympatizes for decades now with the network that includes Milieu-Offensief. Also he has funded this network a lot, first as minister of Foreign Aid en now with VROM."

Siebelt says to be glad that the left actionnetwork is now in the spotlights. "It was about time that this network is being uncovered. Especialy the way they are connected with political parties is highly objectionable. Political parties like Green Left (extreme left) and the PvdA (socialists/labour) is directly steered by this network at certain points. Enviromentalist groups, anti-racismcomittees and such groups have got an unbalanced amount of influence."

Milieu-Offensief is according to Siebelt part of this network. "The organization is cooperating with Milieudefensie it says. That is a powerful lobbyclub that holds close ties to Green Left. The current director, Wijnand Duyvendak, is currently the number four on the list of Green Left."

What the motives were of Volkert van der G. to kill Fortuyn, is not yet clear. Fact is Milieu-Offensief protested the nerts-breeding and that Fortuyn said he didn't oppose this breeding.

Siebelt suspects other motives played a role "The wole actionnetwork was in panic when it was predicted that Fortuyn was going to win big during the elections. They were afraid that Fortuyn would clean up that network when he won the elections.

There is a demonstration planned by 'Nederland Bekent Kleur' (Netherlands Admits Color) next Saturday, organized by more than fifty organizations (also Green Left did and wanted to use the demonstration to rally against Fortuyn). Amongst them there are also organization present who do not hesitate to resort to violence. During the preperations there was a very tense mood."

The BVD (Dutch security service) noted that there were violent tendencies amongst the animal-rights activists. "Strikingly again, also when looking at most other EU countres, the number of violent actions against the properties of persons -that in the view of activists- were involved in animal abuse. Fires were made and animals were freed with the use of force", the BVD says in the annual report 2000. Volkert van der G. was known with the BVD.

Volkert van der G. was also victim of violence. With his legal actions against the expansion of stockbreeding farms he made himself very unpopular with farmers. The windows of his house were vandalized and he recieved threats by phone.

His co-workers and the spokesman of other enviromentalorganization reacted suprised of his arrest. They said they never suspected him to resort to violence, even though he was very fanatical.

Murderer is enviromentalist radical
De Telegraaf

By Martin Koolhoven en Dominque Weesie, AMSTERDAM - The perpetrator of the assassination of Pim Fortuyn is enviromental-terrorist Volkert van der G. (32) from Harderwijk. Volkert van der G. is according to the police a part of five or six 'extremly dangerous' radical left activists. Police suspects that other candidates of the List Pim Fortuyn could become target of terrorists.

The radical activists were funded from 1992 to 1998 by the National Postcode Lottery.

Volkert van der G., who was involved in the past with radical actions, must have prepared his terrorist action into the smallest detail.

In his house in Harderwijk, were a special, fifteen man strong policeteam did a search, detectives found several clues that Volkert van der G. took time to prepare his terrorist act.

He searched the best way to approach the parking lot of Radio 3 and also prepared the escape route at the Texaco fuelpump.

Ammunition

In his house there was ammunition found from the same caliber that was used to kill Fortuyn.

Also his computer with encriminating evidence was confiscated.

Although Volkert van der G. did not yet talk to the police about his motives, it looks like he killed Fortuyn because of his stand on wearing animal fur.

Pim Fortuyn had said on different occasions that, if he would come into power, he would lif the ban on the breeding of fur-animals.

Volkert van der G. is since 17 Okctober 1994 secratary/treasurer of the Verenging Milieu-Offensief (VMO) in Wageningen. This actiongroup was invloved, according to some sources, with several radical animal liberation actions in the past. In 2000 Volkert van der G. said to have such a succes that he wanted to target bigger offenders of enviromental and animal suffering.

In the annual report of the VMO the organization condemned "every form of fur-animal breeding, that is regarded as unwanted by animal right groups". VMO has merged with Bont voor Dieren (Fur for Animals). Also the VMO coorperates with organizations like Milieudefensie, Foundation Lekker Dier and Animal Freedom.

The hard core of around Volkert van der G. was funded from 1992 until 1998 with money from the National Postcode Lotery (NPL) through the Foundation Doen, reported by earlier publications of the VMO.

Foundation Doen, one of the charities of the National Postcode Lotery, was founded by the NPL and the foreign aid organization NOVIB to "give a share of the profit to organizations that help nature and the enviroment." The VMO recieved 330.000 gulden, from which 30.000 has been paid pack as a form of loan.

The NPL reacted shocked. "What happened to Pim Fortuyn is horrible. We as Posctode Lotery support forty organizations on human and nature. One of them is Foundation Doen. This foundation is itself responsible for the way they spends the money, but of course we have opned up our eyes now. We must see if we can be more alert", according to sokeswoman Lisette Schone.

Discredit

The Foundation Doen did probebly quit the funding of VMO after VMO was discredited for allegedly chantaging farmers.

For substantial amounts of money the VMO would not start the time-consuming procedures against new permits. This led to great unrest amongst farmers. After Chamber member Stellingwerf asked questions, minister Pronk (VROM) started an investigation into the VMO practises. This investigaion did not led to much.

Members of the List Pim Fortuyn were told by the police that members of the core around Volkert van der G. already did kill some one. According these spokesman this murder was covered up.

Volkert van der G. has called in the help form lawyer Britta Bohler, that also helped PKK-terrorist Ocalan. The lawyeroffice does not want to comment yet on the suspect.

The left accused Fortuyn of being a nazi, racist and compared him with Hitler.

But who are the real nazis?

When one would ask a German in 1924 to kill off a Jew, they would never have done it. But after years of brainwashing, lies and propaganda they were willing to kill the Jews. Hitler said the Jews were dangerous. Wim Kok and other left politicians and groups also said exactly the same thing about Fortuyn. Fortuyn was the new evil set to destroy other races. Thom de Graaf (Democrats '66) even went as far as to say that if Fortuyn became minister-president, the Jews would again be persecuted and killed!

There even was a book written for children where Foruyn was demonized! Remember the Hitler Jugend? The book was written by three failed comedians who also work for the VARA, the broadcaster from the PvdA (socialists). Written in case it would take some time to finish off the List Pim Fortuyn.

Just like the nazis they shouted and lied about Fortuyn. The media was willing to carry that message. The public, national media did it's best to demonize him, just like back in the 1930's.

Fortuyn was attacked by extreme left acitists who throwed cakes at him. Police never did anything to apprehend the perpetrators. Except the Rotterdam police, they never took the threats Fortuyn recieved serious, like it was the case in nazi Germany!

Now they deny they demonized him.

They left out as much as they could that the number two of the List Pim Fortuyn was a black man, the number 11 a Moroccan woamn and that numerous immigrants voted for him. Even a Hindu organization asked it's members to vote for Fortuyn! The same organization recived death threaths for doing so from 'the Dutch al-Qaeda'.

I accuse Wim Kok PvdA), Marcel van Dam (PvdA/VARA), Ad Melkert (PvdA), Paul Rosenmoller (Green Left) and Thom de Graaf (D'66), the VARA and other public broadcasters and De Volkskrant (left newspaper) of inciting murder and killing off democracy!

Hitler, Goebels, Honicker and Stalin would have been proud to see the way the left in the Netherlands used they tactics to finish off democracy and their opponents. Like the commies used tanks to drive over citizens of Prague, the inquisition started by the left was just as effective.

I hope they are proud of what they accomplished.

I know the NSDAP would.

Thanks. Interesting articles.

"Chantage" in English is "blackmail" or "extortion," a la Jesse Jackson. "Nerts" are minks.

So the killer's lawyer is a former activist for the Rote Armee Fraktion in Germany. Interesting! I was stationed in Berlin with the U.S. Air Force back in 1970-72, when the Baader-Meinhof gang was laying bombs on American bases.

The Yahoo story several times emphasizes Pim's "far right" connection but downplays the enviror-terrorist ties of the murderer. And this Helder nut (mail box bombs) is "anti-government" (read "conservative") but he is a whacko with hallucinations about the earth, the "masses" and nothing identifiably linked with conservatism. Getting tired of the subtle and not so subtle Barbara Striesand.

I surely grow tired of the unrelenting slurs & slanders that the press flings at us on the right. One of my neighbors is a black guy who builds houses, and he's a good neighbor. Another neighbor is, ahem! a gal who preferrs other women... she's a nice neighbor as well. The family I have a small problem with is white ( like me ) but they like to get liquored up and fight with each other. Yet people who nothing more about me than the side of the aisle I'm on politically usually assume I'm a homophobic bigot of some sort...

I'm going to assume that Holland will self-correct the problems she's having, as that is the way most representative governments operate- given a little good luck.

Would that be the same Baader Meinhof gang that are spoken of with fondness by dumb-fu*k journalists in every major democracy, or the one that killed indiscriminately in the name of overthrowing a system that the left wing cowards and hypocrites hid behind when caught?

This was a tragic and devastating killing in Holland. Fortuyn seemed like he presented the people with a lot of hope and reasonable common sense.

We now see that the left is determined to impose their agenda through violence if necessary. They will not allow any competition with their own agenda. And the media still calls conservatives the extremists!

Sorry about the bad English, but I was translating really quick and I am still shook up. I was translating this when on the TV they were broadcasting from the Rotterdam Catherdral, where tens-of-thousands of people gathered. Also they showed him lying in the opened coffin. With tears in my eyes I translated it.

Thanks for that report. This increasingly militant "underground" of leftist/environmental extremists is alarming. I think too often even the Right is a little complacent in regards to them. I think it was a very good analogy to compare them to the Hitler Jugend: indoctrinated since they were very young to believe mankind is evil, they are not so far away from thinking it is ok to murder in the name of their ideals. The Muslim Madrassas also come to mind.

But the Leftist extremists should not be ingnored.
They are dangerous and they have big plans (from the Raise the Fist website-- warning! offensive content):

Writings from Critter- a convicted enviro-arsonist, currently serving time in prison. His first essay encourages people to blow up an electrical power plant because that would hurt the corporations the worst. His rantings end at the bottom with two poems- I Smile (about murdering someone with a 357) and Suicide Bomber:

Suicide Bomber
why don't i fly away
so i can't hurt those that i love
and so i can drop bombs on those i don't

why dont i leave
those who'd be better off without me
and remove those we'd be better off without

there isn't anythin
i wouldn't do for you
and to be rid of them

The next is Another Racist Dead: Here they express their happiness that Pim Fortuyn has been killed and justify why right wing politicians "need to be killed". They also advocate killing our President.

There are many other shocking things on this site and they are linked to many more "resistance sites" across the country and around the world. If people continue to ignore what their sons and daughters are up to and who they are getting involved with when they join these types of groups we can expect more of this type of violence in the future. What if that Critter fellow gets his way and succeeds in encouraging a young Luke Helder for example to blow up a power station? That kid you know with nose rings and dreadlocks could be our next assassin.

What is the prognosis for Lijst Pim Fortuyn on May 15th in the elections in Holland? Now that Pim has been assassinated, is there going to be more support for his party?

Also, I know he's still on the ballot, but how does voting work in Holland? Is it like England, where you represent a small district, and the winner of each district gets a seat in Parliament? Or is it like Germany where you elect a local representative, but also vote for a party and the party votes are allocated proportionally? Can everyone in Holland vote for Pim or only people who live in his district?

The voting in the Netherlands is based on absolute numbers. The party who get the most of the total votes, get the most of the seats in the Second Chamber. So no district system. So more like Germany.

There are 150 seats to divide. A government needs 76 votes. So there has to be a coalition of parties. The biggest party gets to appoint the minister-president, the second biggest the vice-minister-president.

Fortuyn was set to win the elections May 15 before he was killed. A report was presented the same day that he would become the biggest party by the same people who said he would win the local elections in Rotterdam. Everyone can vote on anyone on any list. Fortuyn was the leader, but there are 39 others you can put your vote on, just like the other (14) lists, although not all parties are big enough to put 40 people on the voting list.

Now he is dead the situation can go either way. Between 1- and 40 seats are possible. May people who would vote for him still will, and now many people will also vote for him now. To say to the political parties that demonized him, that democracy was killed when they incited hate against Fortuyn.

"Milieu-Offensief protested the nerts-breeding".

Well, I'm with the radicals on this one. I'm also violently opposed to nerts-breeding.

In fact, the fewer nerts that breed, the better off the world will be.

As General McAuliffe said in the Battle of the Bulge, "Nerts"!
