You pick the date & time of Arafat's death (within an hour) at Israeli hands. Not gonna happen. I predict the weenie from the black lagoon will put himself to sleep with an overdose of barbituate suppositories.
Expected to immediately go into cabinet meetings upon his return. It is expected that the military response will significant...I think that the only way Arafat has a chance to not "assume room temperature" is to act quickly to arrest and hand over to Israel as many of these terrorists as it can from the time Sharon leaves DC to the time he arrives back in Israel.
To: placebo
I sense the same - Arafat wil be joining his uncle the Grand Mufti shortly. Followed by some others in the neighborhood.

I dont think we'll see many of the Palie sympathizers tonight. Anyone who has a shred of sympathy left for the murderers, probably lost it tonight. Then again, some people just hate Israel.

Sharon has probably already given the order to take him out. I would think Isreali Intelligence know exactly where Arafat is at this moment.
Arafat, Dead Man Walking!!!

yeah, "going Carthage" on all Muslims is a bit extreme. All we need to do is use a little Machiavelli...strike fear into their hearts in the least costly way.

Israel should target the remainder of the bomber's family, and treat them as a military unit that gives support to the bomber. That should stop the martyr's family from collecting big bucks and whopping it up when they get the payoff. They usually know the identity of the bomber within hours.

I would love to have Tommy Franks put one of those unmanned spy planes over the area when the poop hits the fan, and simulcast it on the internet

Did Sharon just say he envisions a regional conflict?
To: The Chief
BTW I think the chances of that happening are somewhere between slim & none...
To: Brytani
"Switching to CNN - grumble, I usually boycot them.." Mega "ditto!"
To: Pyro7480
Do a search on my posts about Fox News. They are just as boring and lame as anyone else on cable. Difference is they are more towards the right...a little.

You think in about ten years some network will do a "where are they now" show about the Palistinians? I mean the dozen left alive in the world.

I do not relish saying this..........nobody, I mean nobody, covers breaking world events live, as they happen, better than CNN.Yes...that unfortunately is true.
When there is breaking news, I flip from Fox and head to CNN.

"...we will kill them first." Right, that line really got me
....he said something like if you rise up to kill us we will kill you first!
I don't think I ever heard a world leader speak that frankly, it was refreshing actually.
This is it, these people are animals who know nothing but murder....
To: Trueblackman
Sounds plausible to me - the world seems to be turning into Tom Clancey novel as it is.
