I would suggest that when people read this document, they substitute the words United Nations for International Criminal Court. The very reasons given to oppose the ICC apply to the United Nationals as well. Other than that, this was a good thought process with regard to the ICC. I only wish the 20/20 on the ICC wasn't 400/400 when it comes to the UN.

Glad that this was rejected. However, since I am an a**hole and always have reason to reject the smarmy words of most politicians, let me say that this administration is not much different than the ones that preceded it. The US should withdraw from the UN. I don't understand why the US is even a member and I don't know why the US would legitimize this communist organization by saying things like:
We believe the ICC undermines the role of the United Nations Security Council in maintaining international peace and security.
The UN has never maintained international peace and security and never will. Nor has the US maintained peace and security and those who think that the primary role of any "superpower" or global government is to maintain peace and security should have their head examined.

Excellent explanation. Too bad the media, the UN, and the world will ignore it and condemn us for "denying international justice"('international justice' in the view of the UN)
