"Having some pilot who’s gone off his nut for some reason running around with a gun does not make me feel safe.”

Can ya'll believe the logic of these people? Jeez!

"Alright everyone, if we don't turn this plane around, I shoot the pilot! ... Wait a minute, I am the pilot."

"Pilots with guns scare ABC’s Cokie Roberts because “airplanes is one of the few places I feel safe from guns"

Well guess what Kookie, biased, brainless political talk show hosts are more dangerous. Look in a mirror, you'll see something really scary.

"I don’t feel safer. Airplanes is one of the few places I feel safe from guns. Having some pilot who’s gone off his nut for some reason running around with a gun does not make me feel safe." (Cokie Roberts)

Or the pilot could just find a nearby skyscraper.

Didn't 9/11 teach the elites of the Northeast anything?

Yeah, those pilots going beserk with a gun are a clear and present threat. They might injure a terrorist. Only commercial pilot I heard of who went beserk was the Egyptian co-pilot who took down an airliner off Long Island (FAA's conclusion supported by ample evidence but still denied by Egyptian officals).

The prospect horrified Roberts, who denounced the idea: “I don’t feel safer. Airplanes is one of the few places I feel safe from guns. Having some pilot who’s gone off his nut for some reason running around with a gun does not make me feel safe.”

How does someone like Cokie get a high paying job sharing her IQ with with Sammy, another overpaid fixture. Add up any commonsense the two have and the sum is zero.

Ideally, airline check-in would go something like this:
Attractive Check-in clerk (C):"Good Morning Sir/Ma'am, I see that you are (in the military/ a law enforcement officer/ a CCW permit holder/ etc.). Do you have a copy of your current handgun certification?"
Traveler (T):"Why, yes I do." Hands over his OCC scorecard.
(C):"Wow, I'm only in the 2600 Club myself. Will you be carrying your own weapon this morning?"
(T):"Unfortunately not, I'm returning from Europe."
(C):Shudders "Ugh, those horrid socialists. Well, Mr. Smith, welcome back to civilization. As you know, our policy, like that of all US domestivc air carriers is that qualified citizens go armed while aboard our flights. Here is your Federalist Airlines issue Kimber Custom II with complimentary paddle holster. The weapon is at condition two, loaded with safety slugs, and has an internal guide rod laser sight. The on/off switch is here. Just sign right here for serial number Xx1234567890. Thank you. Have a safe flight and thank you for flying with us today."
(T):"Thank you miss. Good luck on breaking 2650. It is good to be home."
(C):"Next, please."

Cokie must live a very sheltered life.

Where I work, we have a credit union with an ATM. Nearly once a week I pass the armored car and the guard carrying cash and a gun. If he "went off his nut" and started shooting people, he could probably claim one person for every round of ammunition, since my employer has created a disarmed victim zone.

"Suppose the hijackers had pulled the gun out of the pilot’s hand if the pilot had a gun?"

And the results of this would have been...?

You know, I am beginning to wonder if every so called journalist is smoking something, or shooting up, or has become what the new agers call a walk in.

I watched this hillariously incompetent exchange when it aired.

Roberts and Donaldson are kneejerk lightweight nitwits.

How completely assinine to debate whether or not the pilots should've been armed on September 11th.

Three cheers for the effeminate liberal caucasian thought process.

Hip Hip!!

Hey everyone! Let's play "Liberal-Think!" the game that's also an oxymoron!

I personally feel uncomfortable that millions upon millions of Americans are walking around with a weapon that perhaps could be the greatest threat to mankind conceivable. This weapons is readily available to every American. It can't be detected by metal detectors as it is easily concealable. It's fierce ability to rend flesh and vegetable matter is chilling to PETA and Vegan-rights supporters everywhere.

I am of course referring to the human incisor tooth. These things are everywhere people. Every single right-wing extremist conservative is potentially armed with a set of these things, people! You and your children are at risk!

A comprehensive registration and confiscation intiative needs to be started. It's for the public good and for the sake of our children that every set of incisor teeth is registered and then confiscated. You never know when someone is going to go off their nut and start a rampage of ivory induced mahem and death. If you're frightened I can tell you now you're not frightened enough!

Helen Thomas questioning Ari Fleischer at a recent press conference.

It's true that some of our public servants can be trusted to wield such responsibility, but the majority of citizens must be protected from themselves. Write your congressman today and let him know how you feel about the "Incisor Threat"! It's for the children...
