Pim Fortuyn, Dutch right-wing politician, has been shot by an unknown gunman. Between three and 6 six were fired. Gunman still at large. Fortuyn was shot when leaving the Radia 3 studio.

He was heavily wounded and was transported to hospital.

Thank you. I found a BBC article on him too. He appears to have been an interesting politician. The media have a propensity, whenever possible, to characterize political views they disagree with as "right-wing," hoping to tar all such people with the taint of Nazism and the like.
