Jimmy Kimmel, Co-Host of Comedy Central's 'The Man Show' could be headed to ABC as a late night host.
ABC both covets younger viewers for its late night programming and is reportedly looking to end the run of 'Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher.'
Creating a new late night show with Kimmel would accomplish both goals.
Politically Incorrect's contract expires at the ned of the year.
Relations between the show and the network have long been cool, and were made worse when Maher critized the U.S. Military shortly after Spetembber 11.

Isn't it amazing how liberals never, ever, ever take responsibility for the consequences of their personal behavior. It is one of the characteristic peronality features of a liberal.
Uh Mark old buddy. It was you and your moron client Bill Maher who went out of your way to destroy the "franchise."
I don't believe for one second that ABC/Disney gave you instructions to call the 9-11 mass murderers courageous and Bush cowardly.
Smuck and double smuck!!!
"Politically incorrect" implies a lack of "political correctness," that is, standard modern American liberalism. To be PC, you must be pro-choice, anti-SUV, pro-affirmative action, anti-school voucher, pro-gun control, and so on. But more importantly, you must not countenance opposing views in these areas; you must shut off debate; you must not allow any straying from the party line. A "politically incorrect" person is one who dares at least acknowledge the legitimacy of viewpoints on these issues other than those of media/Hollywood/"Eastern Establishment" liberalism.
Mahar has thoroughly corrupted the definition of political incorrectness. In his view, much political incorrectness comes from left of mainstream liberalism. For example, the standard PC position is that affirmative action should be the law of the land. "Politically incorrect" people, according to the original definition, tend to advocate color-blindness. Maher's "politically incorrect" guests, however, might advocate not only affirmative action, but also reparations. Maher often has conservative guests, but he always makes sure they are always in the minority.
Maher can believe what he wants, and invite whoever he wants to appear on his show; I don't care. I've long since stopped watching what has become a silly shouting match by uninformed people. But it annoys me that he has co-opted the phrase "politically incorrect," and turned it on its head.
I hope they offer the job to Kimmel. I hope he takes it. And I hope he kicks butt on the air.
Other than that, I am entirely neutral on the subject.

I have a heart-stopping image to suggest to you, and other devotes of low-brow humor on this thread, even as we speak. Imagine Ann Colter, on "Politically Incorrect," in a short, clingy dress, on a trampoline.
Wrap your mind around THAT concept.
Doncha just love a good, intellectual debate, like the kind they used to have on "Monty Python"? This might be a cross between "Python" and "Benny Hill." I can hear "Yakkity Sax" in the background, even now.
